Rip Cord is a
Ripcord
member of the G.I. JOE team as the G.I. Joe team's HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) Jumper and debuted in 1984.

His real name is Wallace A. Weems, and his rank is that of Corporal E-4. Rip Cord was born in Columbus Ohio. What he does is jump from a plane so high up in a sky that you need an oxygen mask just to breathe. He then falls like a dead rock for thousands of feet and, at the last possible moment, he opens his parachute.
