Rock, also known as Mega Man, is the main protagonist of the Secret Level episode Mega Man: Start. He is a robot created by Doctor Thomas Light that was initially made to assist around the doctor's laboratory before going to fight for peace in Mega City.
He is voiced by Alkaio Thiele.
Biography[]
Rock was working in the lab when Dr. Light rushed in frustrated over how his robots had their programming corrupted by the madman Wily and were now attacking Mega City. Light had Rock open the containment bay holding Bomb Man so it could be prepared for battle against the other robots causing havoc. Rock offered to go fight instead but was told by Dr. Light that it was too dangerous as he was not designed for combat and Bomb Man had enough power to complete the task at hand. As Rock resumes his work, he notices one of Wily's small drones crawling towards Bomb Man and is unable to stop it from corrupting the giant robot, causing it to become hostile. Bomb Man blows up a part of the lab while trying to destroy Rock with an explosive, but as it is about to use another one, Rock quickly puts together an ice cannon to freeze the arm Bomb Man held it's bomb in, thus blowing apart a large portion of it's body. Bomb Man collapses to the floor and almost crushes Dr. Light before Wily's drone suddenly latches onto Rock's head in an attempt to corrupt him. However, much to Light's astonishment, Rock was able to resist the corruption and pulled the drone from his head to destroy it. Afterwards, Rock apologised to Light, saying he was right about what he was built for, but the doctor tells Rock that he was wrong about keeping him in the lab, as he now knows it was not what he was meant for. Rock is then outfitted with combat armor, an arm cannon and a helmet before being sent to Mega City to save it as Mega Man.
