Sergeant Major Rodolfo Parra, also known as Rudy, is a supporting character and playable character in the 2022 video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

He is the right-hand of Colonel Alejandro Vargas, and the second-in-command of Los Vaqueros, a faction made to fight against the Las Almas Cartel. Parra participates in the joint operations with Task Force 141 to stop Quds Force Major Hassan Zyani, as the terrorist allies with the cartel to smuggle American ballistic missiles. After being betrayed by Shadow Company, Rodolfo remained allegiance with Task Force 141 to stop either Shadow Company or Hassan.

He is voiced by Bayardo De Murguia.

Biography[]

Background[]

Nothing is known of Rodolfo Parra's past, but he was born in Mexico and later joined the Mexican Army, where he reached the rank of sergeant major. Joining the army's battalion, the Mexican Special Forces, Parra would become the second-in-command of Colonel Alejandro Vargas' unit, the Los Vaqueros.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II[]

In 2022, the Las Almas Cartel partnered with Quds Force Major Hassan Zyani to help him retaliate against the west, having him be smuggled into the United States. Alejandro is contacted by CIA station chief Kate Laswell to prevent Hassan from crossing, and Rudy works with Vargas during the operation. The two fail to stop Hassan, with Parra being injured and left for dead by the major, but is saved in the nick of time by Alejandro. Having overheard Zyani's conversation with the cartel, he is able to provide intel that he is being transported to safehouse in Las Almas. Following the mission, Task Force 141 and Shadow Company are tasked with helping Los Vaqueros apprehend the major to get information on American missiles.

Meeting with 141 operatives Simon "Ghost" Riley and Johnny "Soap" MacTavish, Rudy participates in the joint operation to capture Hassan at a nearby safehouse. Though failing to find Zyani in the safehouse, they manage to capture him with air support from Shadow Company. Following the operation, Parra remained at Alejandro's safehouse as his leader continued to help 141 and Shadow Company capture "El Sin Nombre" and prevent the launch of the second missile. After Shadow Company betrays 141 and Los Vaqueros, Rodolfo meets with Ghost and Soap at Alejandro's safehouse, and they plan to rescue Alejandro and his men from the Shadows' black site. During the escape, they are assisted by Captain John Price and Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, allowing them to return to the safehouse.

Captain Price informs Los Vaqueros that they will retake their headquarters and eliminate Graves, forming Joint Task Force - Ghost Team to do so. Rodolfo takes part in the assault against Shadow Company, and works with Soap to fight against the private military company's commander. In their training area, Graves attacks them in a tank, but he is supposedly killed by MacTavish when Parra tells the operative to use C4. As 141 heads to Chicago to stop Hassan from launching the last missile, Rudy and Alejandro remain in Las Almas to transport "El Sin Nombre" to the authorities.
