Roland is a major character in the Borderlands video game series. He used to be a soldier of the Crimson Lance, the highly trained private military of The Atlas Corporation. He is proficient with all weapons, although he prefers Shotguns and Combat Rifles. Roland can deploy a Scorpio Turret that can be upgraded throughout the game. Roland is the playable "Soldier" class in Borderlands, and an important NPC in Borderlands 2.
Biography
Roland is the former Crimson Lance soldier who defected after his corrupt superiors tried to frame and kill him. By the second game, he has reforged the remnants of the Lance and other survivors on Pandora into the Crimson Raiders, the anti-Hyperion resistance. He dated Lilith between games.
