Biography[]
Background[]
Ronnie worked as an electric engineer in S.T.A.R. Labs where he fell in love with Caitlin Snow. They started dating and eventually got engaged. However, on the particle accelerator's grand opening, an error caused the accelerator to start exploding all over Central City. Ronnie sacrificed himself by locking himself in the reactor's chamber to try to contain the explosion. He says goodbye to Caitlin over a talky-walkie before being engulfed in a wave of dark matter, seemingly killing him.
Season One[]
Ronnie revealed to have survived the accident at S.T.A.R. Labs, but became a metahuman too and merged with a scientist named Martin Stein, who are both seen merging together to become the superhero, Firestorm. Though they try to find a way to separate from each other in order for each to be with Caitlin and Martin's wife, Clarissa, but they later then accepted their new power. They had to leave Central City for now but while merging, they said to their loved ones "I Love you".
Later accompanied by Oliver Queen, who is wearing a League of Assassin suit, Ronnie and Martin return to help Barry defeat Eobard Thawne, alias Reverse Flash, after he was revealed to have impersonated Harrison Wells. It wasn't easy but with teamwork and effort, they were successful.
Near the end of the first season, Ronnie and Caitlin were completely reunited, wedded, and married.
Season Two[]
When a wormhole expanded into the Singularity (from the Reverse-Flash's power source) within Earth-1, Barry tries to close it down. But Ronnie and Martin thought they could separate the singularity's eye. Ronnie told Caitlin he had to try, despite the danger. Ronnie and Martin merged as Firestorm and flew toward the singularity to aid the Flash. As the singularity began to collapse in on itself, Firestorm separated and Ronnie was lost in the process, leaving Caitlin and Team Flash to mourn his death. Barry blames himself for this, but everyone, especially Caitlin assures he is not to blame.
Legacy[]
When Martin became a grandfather to his new grandson, his grandson was named after Ronnie to honor him.
When Barry and Iris were going to get Married, Martin was one of the visitors who attended it. Martin express how it reminds him of how he was at Caitlin and Ronnie's wedding.
During a funeral of Martin Stein, who died during a war with the Earth-X invaders, Caitlin asks him to tell Ronnie she misses him.
It's later revealed that Ronnie's death created the evil entity Deathstorm, who has been feeding on Team Flash's grief for 7 years to grow inside the Singularity. Deathstorm even used Ronnie's likeness to trick Caitlin into freeing him so he can have Caitlin to himself.
