Marc standing up for Nathaniel by telling Shirel that they were working on schoolwork and that they have a group assignment due, which convinces her
"I don't think your mom will ever like comics. Maybe we should keep this issue to ourselves. I don't want you to get in trouble because of what we do."
Marc tells Nathaniel that they should keep the issue to themselves, but Nathaniel refuses to
"You sure? Are you ready to let everyone see it?"
Marc holds hands with Nathaniel

"Except, we don't have powers obviously."
Marc overcome with love and joy as Nathaniel affectionately touches his cheek and tells him that he'll always be there to protect him
"Same here." - Marc reciprocates the promise to protect Nathaniel as well as he warmly takes his hand
"But promise me, you'll never put yourself in danger for me. You're not a superhero."
An awestruck Marc gasps silently and covers his mouth after Nathaniel reluctantly reveals his superhero identity to him. (Well, the joke is on you, Marc)
