Rosa is one of the main protagonists of the KikoRiki franchise. She is a young piglet and one of the original seven residents of the KikoRiki Island. She loves fashion and often fantascizes about princes saving princesses from dragons, dreaming of meeting a prince herself.
She is voiced by Svetlana Pismichenko in the original, and by Kether Donohue, Tabitha St. Germain, Lisa Ortiz and Alyson Leigh Rosenfeld in various English dubs.
Biography[]
Not much is known about Rosa's life prior to the events of Team Invincible. It appears that Wally had feelings for her for a long time, which she was seemingly aware of and waited for him to confess it. When she and her friends learned of a superhero Lucien fighting the evil Dr. Caligari, they left their island for Megapolis to help the superhero out. There they were arrested for providing no identification papers, but later released at Lucien's behest. Despite Lucien, or rather Barry, trying to convince Rosa's gang that he wasn't a real superhero but rather just an actor, they didn't believe him and instead tried to prove their worthiness of being heroes to him. Rosa, in particular, aimed to help people out by working as a cashier. When Chiko got arrested under false accusations, Rosa and her friends worked together to rescue him and his new friend Pin and return to their home island on an airship. During the airship crash, Rosa's ears were injured, but they healed in time for her to hear Wally's confession of love. Since then, Rosa and her friends had many more adventures together.
Personality[]
In early episodes, Rosa started off as a good-natured, optimistic and somewhat naive girl. She dreamed of love and passion, and liked to spend time with her friends. As time passed, however, she began to change for the worse. At times Rosa allows her selfish desires to overcome her, even endangering others at times. One instance involved her flooding the entire island with chocolate, and on another she schemed to hypnotize all men into playing with dolls instead of more "boyish" games, believing that the latter made them violent. In general, Rosa thinks a lot about her appearance, always trying to keep up with latest fashion trends, and having a breakdown when she discovers she's been wearing something outdated.
Rosa has a rather turbulent relationship with Wally, who has a crush on her. While she recitropates his feelings, she's not above manipulating the ram to get what she wants or even physically assaulting him over a misundersanding. The two are prone to arguing and breaking up, though they usually make up for it afterwards.
Despite being designed as stereopicially girlish, Rosa does not, in fact, always adhere to gender stereotypes, and has clashed with Pin at times due to the latter's misogynistic views.
