Rosie Gulliver is one of the main characters in the BBC Three sitcom Bad Education and it's 2015 film adaptation.

She is played by Sarah Solemani.

Bad Education[]

Rosie works at Abbey Grove School in Hertfordshire as a Biology Teacher. She attracted the attention of fellow teacher Alfie Wickers, who would try to impress her and get her to be his girlfriend. At first, Rosie did not return Alfie's affections because had recently broke up with her boyfriend and because Alfie was younger than her.

In Series 2, Rosie is revealed to be in a same-sex relationship with one of her former students Alex (who was three years younger than Alfie), much to Alfie's dismay. However, the relationship does not last and she begins dating Alfie.

In Series 3, it is revealed that Rosie once dated an older man named Richard, who was her lecturer at university. She and Alfie move in together but briefly break up after Alfie mistakenly believes that Rosie still had feelings for Richard. Afterwards, they get back together.

Rosie reappears in the 2022 reunion special, where she is shown to have been working in Lebanon for six months teaching migrants. She later uses Zoom to do a speech at Abbey Grove's career day, but Alfie cuts off the connection when she unintentionally embarrasses him in front of the school by mentioning that he wears Wonder Woman underpants. She last appears near the end of the special where Alfie phones her to tell her that he quit working at Abbey Grove (in reality, he was fired by the school's new headteacher Bernadette Hoburn for taking the blame for a party in the school by his former student Mitchell Harper (who was now working as the school's P.E. teacher)) and would be joining her in Lebanon.
