Rouge the Bat is a supporting character in Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series. She is a 18-year-old bat who is both a part-time government agent and occasional jewel thief. She occasionally works as a spy directly under the President and is often involved in events concerning G.U.N. and the United Federation as a whole. She also tends to get involved in illegal activities, as she has an affinity for adventure and gems. Rouge would at some point join Team Dark and began working directly under G.U.N. along with Shadow the Hedgehog and E-123 Omega.
Appearance[]
Rouge is a tanned anthropomorphic white bat with aqua green eyes of a curvy figure. She has large, pointed ears, a small black nose over a tan muzzle, a short, pointed tail, and a pair of dark purple wings on its back. Under her head she appears to have fur. She wears dark blue eyeshadow and purple lipstick. She is wearing a tight, black, sleeveless jumpsuit with a heart-shaped pink breastplate with white trim and long white gloves and boots with pink cuffs. She also has high-heeled boots that feature hearts on the toes.
Personality[]
Rouge is a very strong and narcissistic, she is very fearless, ambitious, independent, flirtatious, greedy, ruthless and calculating that most people only see how to take care of themselves and her gems. Despite these characteristics, she also proves helpful and affectionate in her own way, usually towards a select few. She never stops using seduction and manipulation to get what she wants and is willing to be dishonest and even cheating with few, if any, scruples. She proves sweet when she is cruel.
Ironically, Rouge possesses a caring side beyond her thief and double-cross ways of her, having occasionally shown that she could be heroic and a little bit ethical, even if that meant sacrificing something she really wanted to get her hands on. She is often able to recognize true evil when she sees it. Regardless, her care is usually reserved for those close to her.
Powers and Abilities[]
Being a bat, Rouge is able to fly and glide. She is a skilled fighter who specializes in kicks. Working as both a spy and a thief, she has also been shown to have a knack for espionage, manipulation, sneaking and computer hacking. She's also shown being competent in operating a variety of vehicles such as space shuttles.

- Unlike in other media, Rouge has been drawn with her eyes completely open in many issues of the comic series.
