Royal Defense Army

The Royal Defense Army (王立防衛軍, Ōritsu Bōei-gun^?) is a supporting faction in the Dragon Ball franchise. They are an army who works under the command of King Furry and sometimes fights against the villains who wants to destroy the World.

Biography[]

The Royal Defense Army is first seen in a flashback of the first rampage of King Piccolo, fighting against his Dark Vassals and being defeated in the process. In the present they are with King Furry diring the celebration of the 20th anniversary of his mandate when King Piccolo returns to conquer the World. The army tries to fight him but they can't do anything against the demon's strength and are quickly slaughtered. In the anime, the soldiers who did not want to be killed decided to serve him and were entrusted with the mission of killing all martial artists, being Ox-King one of them. But he and Chi-Chi are saved by Goku, who defeats the soldiers and scares them away. After Goku kills King Piccolo the soldiers serve King Furry again and all those who were killed are revived by Shenron. Sometime later, the Patrol 15 finds Piccolo Jr. when he kills a bear, both tries to fight him but the namekian scares them away.

During the Attack of the Saiyans, a naval fleet of the Royal Defense army is sent to fight against them, but Nappa kills them easily. Five years later a militia tries to fight Cell in Gingertown when he was fighting against Piccolo, but Cell defeats them with his laser eyes. Sometime before the Cell Games, King Furry sends his soldiers to fight against Cell in his perfect form but they are killed again. The day of the games the army is ready for another assault but King Furry stops them knowing that they are going to lose again. After the death of Cell all the soldiers killed by him are revived by Shenron.

Seven years later a group of the police and the Royal Defense Army tries to fight against Majin Buu but they are defeated and killed by the monster. The rest of the army would be later killed by Super Buu but revived by Porunga, two solidires are seen with King Furry giving their energy to Goku's Super Spirit Bomb to defeat Kid Buu.

Future Trunks' Timeline[]

In the alternate timeline a militia of the Royal Defense Army was defending Super World, an amusement park supposedly safe from the androids. But when they came they were defeated by them and invaded the park.

The army was eventually disolved during the attack of Goku Black, the survivors of the army became part of the Earth's Resistance led by Future Mai.
