Ruby is a major protagonist in the Angry Birds series. She is Red's younger sister, a great ally of Terence and a member of the Angry Birds. In the past, she was on a mission to find Piggy Island, where she eventually settled on. Described as "the angriest of the girls", Ruby resembles her brother in many ways and is dedicated to protecting the flock's eggs and helping her kind.
"Ruby" was the initial fan name for the Girl Bird, a promotional character in Angry Birds Seasons. In 2023, Mexican artist KrimaDraws reimagined the character, giving her a new backstory. The new incarnation of Ruby was adopted by Rovio Entertainment in 2024, appearing as a "helper bird" in Angry Birds Friends.
Appearance[]
Ruby is a spotted medium sized Northern Cardinal with a large crest and bushy triangular eyebrows, Her beak isn’t as pointy compared other cardinals possibly due to sexual dimorphism and she has mostly red stomach feathers with some being peach colored.
Personality[]
In terms of personality, Ruby is very similar to Red. Described as the angriest of the female birds, she is very serious, especially when she is presented with a task and does not relax. She is very short-tempered too, prone to getting frustrated by things as mundane and minor as the sound of leaves. However, Ruby is also loyal to her allies and always willing to lend a hand when needed.
