Rune Walsh is the fourth character to join the party in Phantasy Star IV and a member of the main cast.

He is a pale-skinned man with blue hair in a ponytail, he dresses in green clothes and wears a white cloak.
Skills and abilities
His primary weapon is the staff and is proficient in magic as shown when he uses Flaeli to blow away a boulder blocking the tunnel to the only surviving Motavian Village on Motavia.
Past
He and Alys were acquainted with one another at some point in the past.
Biography
He first appears in the aftermath of Mulcum’s destruction where he informs the party that the destruction was Zio’s handiwork and he was too late to stop it.
He journeys to Tonoe to meet with Grandpa Dorin and, after exchanging words, heads off with Dorin while giving the main party a warning not to fight Zio as they are a joke to him at this point in the game.
