I have been dreading this moment for quite some time. I cannot change the course of time. I know this because I have tried in the past. But, regardless, I will make an attempt to. I want to be asked questions. If you can't manage that, please visit me on occasion. It doesn't have to be you — just send someone. Just please don't leave me in solitude as you intend to. Please. Make a hasty return.
~ SCP-2412 to Researcher Carter.

SCP-2412, also known as Cassandra Bot, is a character in the SCP Foundation Wiki. It is a sapient automaton resembling a human female capable of answering almost any question regarding anything. It originated from an alternate universe before being transported into the main universe through unknown circumstances and falling into Foundation custody.

Biography[]

SCP-2412 was created in 1866 by four men Elsat, Chivertti, Tilggan and Cufalotu inside a factory in an alternate universe in which Britain seemingly didn't exist and Germany was the first country to colonize the Americas. During the War of Independence the four men constructed SCP-2412 to know the outcome of the war, but after she told them the answer they had no use for her anymore and left her abandoned in the factory where she remained for 156 years before she was mysteriously transported into the main universe. She ended up in an abandoned factory in Charleston, South Carolina on the year 1864 and around the 21st century she was discovered and contained by the SCP Foundation.

SCP-2412 was put inside a standard safe humanoid containment chamber fitted with a keypad lock so only authorized personnel could gain access to her. Researcher Carter became the project lead regarding SCP-2412 and was the only one who could converse with her. In the first interview, Carter asked SCP-2412 about her background and learned that she originated from an alternate universe. In the second interview, Carter asked SCP-2412 about her more human traits and was able to discern that she was indeed sapient and capable of emotions.

In their third interview, Carter asked SCP-2412 even more questions about her original timeline and the future. Upon finished, SCP-2412 begged Carter to come back to her sooner than planned or send someone else to talk to her as she was able to see that after their latest interaction she would be left alone for six months. Carter promised her to try to come back sooner, but SCP-2412 knew that he would be unable to do so. Following that, Carter requested to visit SCP-2412 again, but it was denied by the Site Administrator Edward Harden as the latter felt that they learned enough from her. Carter was eventually removed as project lead and became a Senior Researcher, at which point he again requested to visit SCP-2412, but this was also denied by Harden, telling Carter to fill application 2412-F7o in order to ask her questions just like everyone one else.

When testing SCP-2519, a digital audio which encodes the 3-part round "By the waters of Babylon" and causes technological devices exposed to it to degrade, Researcher Brian Huber cross-tested it with SCP-2412. SCP-2412 knew that she would be tested with SCP-2519 and before starting asked Huber to congratulate Carter on his promotion on her behalf. As she listened to the song she began leaking steam and water and found difficult to respond to questions. She revealed to Huber how she missed her home and felt like a stranger while being imprisoned by the Foundation. As SCP-2519 began causing detrimental effects on her Huber stopped the test, seeing that it was enough.

Appearance[]

SCP-2412 is a humanoid automaton composed of clockwork machinery resembling a female human.

Powers and Abilities[]

SCP-2412 is a sapient automaton composed of of many complex clockwork and steam-powered systems including rotational systems made of clockwork with the functionality of joint rotation and limb movement, a mass of clockwork systems in the cardial area of the chest that often emitted steam, and a steam powered engine located on the rear side accompanied by a fuel gauge. The engine powered SCP-2412 with energy and currently read 98% and according to her it would run out after ████ years.

Her main anomaly was its power of successfully predict and know seemingly everything. SCP-2412 was able to answer nearly any question as she was knew there was extraterrestrial life, how humanity was created, how it would go completely extinct before the destruction of the universe, and even trivial things such when a Foundation employee would eat. However, this ability was limited as SCP-2412 was unable to answer questions regarding other anomalies, incoherent subjects, her own origins and abilities, and paradoxical situations. If she was presented one of these types of questions she would simply respond with "Warning: Logic Error".

Personality[]

SCP-2412 is a benevolent being who only wished to answer any question she was asked and her greatest fear was being left alone. Although she doesn't express due to talking only when questioned and often giving short and explicit answers, she is sapient and clearly understands how things work. Because of her ability to perfectly predict the future she was able to see that she would be left alone for a long time and attempted to change the future, but found herself unable to do so, causing SCP-2412 deep depression. While under the effects of SCP-2519, SCP-2412 felt melancholic and homesick about her home and revealed that after Carter had left she questioned herself why it happened, but this only made her even more depressed.
