Saint Germain is mysterious time traveler who was introduce in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. Throughout the game, he tries to convince Hector from continuing his path of vengeance. He holds some time related powers and wields a saber and pistol as weapons. He also holds a stopwatch to stop time.
He is voice by Adam D. Clark in the English version and Tetsuo Sakaguchi in the Japanese.
Biography[]
While traveling to the Garibaldi Temple, Hector encounters a mystery man. He reveals his name to be Saint Germain and tells Hector to not go on his journey to find Isaac. Hector become suspicious of this and assumes he works with Isaac. Despite the random accusation, Saint Germain still warns Hector about his journey and leaves with Hector being confused by the encounter. Hector encounters Germain again and tries to give the same conversation that they had before and not to trust Zead. but Hector refuses and tells Germain that nothing is going to stop his vengeance. Germain leaves and goes after Zead.
Later on, Saint Germain and Zead had a fight with each other but both of them leave with none of them knowing that Hector was watching. At this moment, Hector concluded that they are enemies. When landing at the clock tower, Germain gets trap in a barrier, which was a trap set by Zead. When Hector arrives and somehow entered the barrier, Germain decides to fight him as a way to test his abilities. After losing, he realizes how powerful Hector has become and had enough interfering with the timeline. He leaves and sarcastically wish Zead his regards towards Hector.
Upon completing the game, Saint Germain appears for the final time but this time address the player by talking about destiny and purpose. He express knowledge of the future but his words and character are left ambiguous including his intentions.
Appearance[]
Saint Germain appears as magician looking individual. He wears a top hat with a black vest and red tailcoat that also includes a polkadot ascot. His pants are stripe white and has fancy shoes. Physically his hair and mustache is blond and have white skin.

- Both the game and animated version are based on the real life mysterious Count St. Germain, who was a mysterious European with no historical background but appeared many times in important events in history.
- Other than his interactions with Hector and his boss fight, he does not provide anything within the story and is never mention again in the series.
- According to Koji Igarashi, Saint Germain works with a time traveling organization called Time Watchers.
- That same group appears in the Castlevania fighting game, Castlevania: Judgement. The character Aeon represent the group.
