Sakamoto Ryoma is the main protagonist of the Like a Dragon spin-off video game Ryū Ga Gotoku Ishin! and its 2023 remake Like a Dragon: Ishin! (known as Ryū Ga Gotoku Ishin! Kiwami in Japanese).

He is a goshi (the lowest rank of samurai) from Tosa that travels to the city of Kyo (the city known in modern times as Kyoto and Japan's former capital) in order to find out the truth regarding his adoptive father Yoshida Toyo's assassination. While doing so, he infiltrates the Shinsengumi under the alias of Saito Hajime.

He was voiced by Takaya Kuroda, who also voiced Kazuma Kiryu, one of the main characters of the Like a Dragon franchise and whom Ryoma's appearance was based on.
