Saki Mugendo is one of the three tritagonists (alongside Marie Mahler and Nana Tachibana) of Yumeutsutsu Re:Master. She is a professional write who works at Eureka Software. She is in charge of writing NieMajo's scenario.
She is voiced by Sora Tokui who also voiced Nico Yazawa from the Love Live series and Hideri Kanzaki from Blend S.
Biography[]
Background[]
Before the events of the game, Saki once worked with a collegue know as Misaki to write NieMajo scenario. After Misaki died, she was dedicated to write the best scenario in NieMajo to honor her. Because she didn't follow the order given by either Honoka or Kokoro, she would often conflict with them (especially the latter).
Yumeutsutsu Re:Master[]
She first meet Ai while taking a bath in a washbasin after the latter see her. Annoyed by that, she angrily tells her to get out but not before presenting herself. Later when she meet Ai again, she does acts jerkish towards her due to her inexperience to the point where Ai would try to avoid her as much as possible. However as the time pass, Saki would later have more trust with Ai to the point of asking for her to be her manager.
Saki's Route[]
From there, Ai continues to work as a manager for Saki and the two eventually become closer. One evening during the Awa Odori festival, Saki, under Honoka's order, goes to the festival alongisde, Ai, Nana and Marie. Eventually Saki and Ai go back to the office to continue to work on NieMajo scenario, but they meet Kokoro who is angry that the two had fun outside instead of working (and also because she wanted to go to the festival with them). As the dispute intensifies between Saki and Kokoro, the latter loses her tempers and slaps Saki many times.
Days later, Saki tells Honoka and Kokoro that she had the scenario almost finished. However due to not thinking that this scenario would be good enough and not wanting it to be used, Saki destroys the hard drive which contained the scenario by throwing it by the window. Ai and Kokoro go to see if the hard drive are still good, but unfortunately nothing can be restored much to Kokoro's annoyance. Saki then joins them and tells them that she had quit Eureka Software making Ai sad. Saki thanks Ai for all she had done before leaving.
For many days, Saki works on NieMajo's scenario in a cyber-cafe. She is eventually found by Ai who, thinking that it would be bad for Saki to live like that, asks her to live in her apartment. Though Saki is first reluctant, shedecides to accept, and both leave the cyber-cafe.
One they arrive at Ai's apartment, Ai let Saki sleep in her bed. The next day, Ai decides that she will support Saki so that she can write the scenario in good conditions. For many days, the two will do that without Eureka Software knowing it for a time. When Kokoro learns it, she often passes by Ai's apartment to see how the scenario progress. Despite advancing, Saki has more difficulties and less motivation to write it, and one day she finally decides to stop.
In the Good Ending, Ai decides to be harsh on Saki, to encourage her to continue the game, which succeed to convince the later. The two would then go out for a date at one moment to take a break. Afterward, Saki works the hardest she could and succeed to finish the game in extremis. Ai then leaves with Kokoro give the script to Honoka. Later, Ai waits for Saki to come to Eureka, and once she arrives, Ai goes joins her and hugs her, the two admit their love for each other.
In the Bittersweet ending, Ai decides to be gentle to Saki. She hugs her and convince her that she doesn't need to work anymore. Ai has then the desire to baby Saki. Despite Saki not finishing the game, Eureka Software managed to come up with a script. Ai decides to go back to her house in Tochigi alongside Saki. During that time, Saki has a age regression causing her to have a baby's age mentality while Ai acts as her mother.
