Sally Jane Reed is the tritagonist of the HBO tragicomedy crime series Barry.
She is an actress in Los Angeles who attends Gene Cousineau’s acting class. She began a relationship with Barry Berkman, when they first met at acting class, but isn’t aware of Barry’s killing intentions.
In season 3, her relationship with Barry becomes lifeless and eventually breaks up with him, after he yelled at her previously, in which Barry tries to explain that he had a bad day and it wasn’t blaming anything on her, but she continues to speak by telling him to go to her apartment and pack his stuff to leave, while she is with her friend Natalie, she eventually walks away, leaving Barry alone in sadness. Afterwards, her show was cancelled, and Natalie seems to be taking her place, much to Sally’s outrage, that she confronts her, not knowing that Natalie is recording her, but brings an extreme meltdown on her. She then asks Barry for help to get revenge on Natalie.

Sally is ambitious, self-centered and insecure who wants to be successful as an actress more than anything. But she can be somewhat rude and jealous towards people, if they would take her place.
