Sam McKenna is the deuteragonist of the 1998 cult classic comedy film Dirty Work. He is Mitch Weaver's best friend who both started a revenge for hire business to pay for his father's heart transplant.
He is portrayed by Artie Lange.
Biography[]
Childhood[]
As a child he and his best friend Mitch always plotted revenge and messed with people. His father who is a former boxer father figured Mitch despite that Mitch never had a father growing up. Sam and Mitch were told by his father to ever get pushed around by anyone. Sam and Mitch got the idea to get revenge against a bully named Derek who would take Mitch's lunch money. They planted guns into Derek's desk before he was arrested for possession of guns.
As a teenager, Mitch's mother died and moves in with Sam and Pops. Sam and Mitch continued to get revenge on people who they were wronged. They got back a meter maid who gave them a parking ticket by pouring popcorn kernals in the radiator. In high school, Mitch and Sam would always get chased by a doberman before they borrowed Mitch's Cousin's huge German Shepherd who turned out to be gay.
Adult Life[]
As an adult, Mitch was fired from working at Aldo's Pizza. Mitch was kicked out of his home after his girlfriend broke up with him. Mitch moves back in with Sam and Pops. They go out for a drink Mazetti's bar before they got into a fight with a group of teens. Later, they got revenge on those by making a fake call before the group of teens got arrested for assaulting a cop. Afterwards they watched TV at home until Pops gets heart attack ressaulting him having to get heart surgery with the cost of $50,000. Sam and Mitch get a job at movie theater where plotted revenge on their abusive boss Hamilton after making fun of Sam's weight and their fellow workers. They play a porno version of Men in Black in the theater before Hamilton got fired. Sam and Mitch thought of starting a revenge-for-hire business. They open Dirty Work Inc. before Mitch starts falling for a woman named Kathy. Mitch and Sam decided to do a publicly stunt to advertise their business to hire them to do their dirty work. They helped avenge a victimized dwarf against a bearded women at a circus. Later, they saved an elderly woman's home from being turned into a Chelsea house which ressaults the duo being sent to jail before being bailed out by Travis Cole.
Travis Cole tricks Mitch and Sam into vandalizing Mr. Kirkpatrick's apartment building so he can buy it. Mitch secretly records Cole's confession so they can use for a revenge plan. Mitch, Sam, and their friends set up a trap to sabotage Cole's opening night for his Italian opera. They used the theater's sound system to reveal Cole's true motives played back. After the opening night was ruined Cole agrees to write them a check for $50,000 before Cole gets arrested. Afterwards, Mitch and Sam finally manage to pay for Pop's heart surgery.
