Biography[]
Early Childhood[]
Sam originally had a normal life in Missouri and was born the younger son to town officer Graham Walker and an unnamed mother, along with his older sister, Whitney. Unbeknownst to him, his father was running an operation that pimped out 14-year-old girls and had to move after being caught when Sam was 9, causing the family to move to the supposedly happy town of Drisking, Missouri. At the time, Sam didn’t understand why the family moved but nevertheless accepted it.
Unlike his sister, Sam quickly grew to enjoy the town and became best friends with another kid named Kyle Landy whom he met through a family gathering and playing PS2 together. He would also quickly befriend Kyle’s friend, Kimber Destaro and become very close to her as well. The trio would hang out frequently and one day, they took Sam to the mysterious treehouse in the forest called the “Triple Tree” (alongside Kyle’s reluctant 6-year-old brother, Parker) where he would carve his name in as part of a tradition. The kids would end up finding beer in the house and drinking for the first time, having a good time. Before they left, Sam was told of a myth that anyone who doesn’t carve out their name in the tree will end up being taken by a mysterious skin man, which he would ponder at the time but not think much over.
Sam began his first day of school and was dropped off by his father, who wanted to hug him before he got out. At school, he got along with his classmates but never really went beyond basic acquaintanceships. A snobby group of girls led by Phoebe Granger would advise Sam not to hang out with Kimber due to thinking she is weird. Sam refuted however and said he would rather be friends with Kimber any day rather than her group.
At home, Sam questioned his father about the mysterious skin man, but he would shrug it off and keep Sam from finding anything out, then would confront Whitney and tell her not to tell Sam any “rumors” like that.
Eventually Witney would end up disappearing and cause a police search. Sam was dismayed and was upset the police were hardly doing anything (little did he know, they were the cause of Whitney’s disappearance and took her to Borassaca.) He would try to track her down in the treehouse but only found no leads.
Teenage Years[]
He would try to continue life as normal, while secretly spending the next five years thinking about Whitney and trying to track her down, but never getting any leads. Over time, he would slowly investigate the mysterious nature of his town.
Eventually, after Kimber was kidnapped, him and Kyle would end up tracking down the sex slavery operation and discover the horrid truth of how the town has been run. They manage to rescue Kimber and help her escape, but Jimmy and Sheriff Clery prevent them from leaving, also stopping Sam from saving Whitney. Jimmy would then beat Kyle to a pulp as Sam helplessly watched, nearly killing the boy. Sam would end up getting framed for assaulting Kyle and become wanted as a criminal in his town. After being threatened into submission by his father, he would end up running away from home and going to Chicago, where he would become a thug and a drug addict trying to get by and living with trauma. At some point he would receive an envelope from Kimber describing Borassaca’s operations.
Adult Years[]
At some point, Sam would get imprisoned and sent to jail, where he would meet his friend and future roommate Connor. He would live in squalor and regularly overdose on drugs, while having nightmares about Drisking. He would reunite with Kimber after 10 years and together travel back to Drisking after receiving word from a contact (who is actually Jimmy Prescott) about Kyle's whereabouts.
In town, they discover Drisking is now more decrepit than before and eventually learn that Sam's father took over the sex slavery operation and has expanded it, while hoarding all the money from the town. Sam teams up with Jimmy Prescott to take down his father and eventually succeeds by tricking him.
