Sam Wheat is the protagonist of the 1990 film "Ghost". He is a deceased New York banker and a former co-worker of the villain Carl Bruner. He is played by the late Patrick Swayze.

Sam Wheat lives with his girlfriend Molly Jensen, and later dies from a gunshot (due to the other villain, Willy Lopez) trying to protect Molly while they are both walking home from a theater.
