Sangonomiya Kokomi, also called the Pearl of Wisdom, is a support playable character in the 2020 action role-playing fantasy video game Genshin Impact. She serves as a major protagonist throughout Chapter II of the Archon Quests, being the final protagonist of its second act and the tritagonist of its third act.
Kokomi was the young head of the Sangonomiya Clan who governed Watatsumi Island and led her people in the worship of the Watatsumi Omikami, a Serpent God that was killed by the God of Eternity Beelzebul in ancient times. Despite her outwardly serene nature, Kokomi was introverted and did not enjoy her duties as the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island.
Eventually, Beelzebul introduced a policy called the Vision Hunt Decree that forced all Inazuman Vision bearers to hand over their Visions to her. In response to the God's tyranny, Kokomi and Watatsumi Island incited open rebellion against the God of Eternity and a resistance movement was formed under the Sangonomiya name.
During the subsequent civil war, Kokomi was considered a genius tactician who held the resistance together with her strategic mind. Eventually however, hostilities ceased when a Traveler managed to defeat Beelzebul in a duel and convince her to abolish the Vision Hunt Decree.
Sangonomiya Kokomi is voiced by Risa Mei in English and by Suzuko Mimori in Japanese. Mimori has also voiced Asumi Fuurin in Healin' Good PreCure, Ophis in High School DxD, and Umi Sonoda in Love Live!.
Personality[]
A calm and peaceful Divine Priestess of Watastumi as Kokomi has the peace to declare to stop the vision hunt degree in Inazuma when the Raiden Shogun has taken to the vision with Tenryou Commission Kokomi has the plan with Gorou her right-hand man to protect the Watastumi people any cost to their home. She meets the Traveler and Paimon to thank them to defend their home, she meets the headquarters planning to get the people who need some supplies and food including the army's need too trained.
Traveler and Paimon told Kokomi and Gorou the mist that Fatui dealing with Tenryou Commission having the plan to make weaker, Kokomi decided the traveler be careful the mist will get older. After the civil war, she victories peacefully about the hunt degree was over for praying for the soldier's death. In the story Kokomi thanks for helping Traveler and Paimon in defending Watastumi island by taking care of them. Kokomi wanted to celebrate to feast with all the Watastumi people to give the speech.
After the Feast, she meets Kujou Sara with the peace talk has the end of the war, and it approves. And including the Joining of the Inazuma festival with Gorou.
Appearance[]
Kokomi is a young woman with long, light salmon colored hair with light blue ends. Her hair is tied in a bow ponytail and held up with an indigo, fin-like decoration. Her irises consist of a gradient from pink at the bottom to dark indigo at the top, and lack distinct pupils.
Her attire is primarily navy, indigo, and white. She wears a navy-blue kimono-like coat with white accents that resemble waves. The ends of her sleeves are frilled and decorated with shell-like details, while the hem at the top is scalloped to look like fins. There is a coral-colored bow adorned with a pearl on each of her upper arms. A similar bow is found at the bottom of her sleeves and are attached to indigo tassels. On her back, she has two large white loops around a red, three-looped bow, all kept in place with a large lilac shell. She also has two fin-like coattails that transition from lilac to salmon.
Kokomi wears a near-white lilac bodysuit under her coat which ends with shorts that have a scalloped hem. Her stomach is uncovered and decorated with a light blue gem. The sides have cutouts with light blue bows and pearls, and are connected to her thigh high stockings. These stockings have a darker lilac scalloped hem as well as a rhombus cutout at the top.
At the front of her bodysuit, there is a large navy-blue bow with white stripes over two lilac drapes with lighter lilac stripes and red and blue accents. Her Hydro Vision is placed at the center of the bow.
She wears white half gloves and two pearls on each hand.
She also wears geta-like sandals with navy soles with light lilac details, coral-colored straps, and a blue bow with a pearl for each shoe.
On her neck, she wears a large navy and indigo choker with a scalloped hem. In the center of the choker is a round blue gem with an indigo shell to each side. Hanging from this blue gem are three blue loops of cord and a blue, drop-shaped gemstone.
