Santa Claus is the tritagonist of the Regular Show christmas themed episode The Christmas Special. He is the owner of his own toy factory in the North Pole and Quillgin's lead toymaker and arch-nemesis.

He was voiced by the late Ed Anser, who also voiced Carl Fredricksen in Up.

History[]

Background[]

According to him, he was with his employee Quillgin who made the perfect present: a box that when opened will magically materialize whatever the holder wanted, which he had worked his whole life to make.

One day, Quillgin informed Santa of his project, and they both then tested it on a simple family. But upon opening the box, the individuals looking into it suddenly turned selfish and violent as their worst impulses were brought out by its glow. Santa deemed the project a failiure and had the box sealed in a vault. He also had all of Quillgin's research destroyed by a hazmat team to prevent it from ever being recreated. Quillgin tried to stop them, but Santa prevented him from interfearing and likely fired him as well. As a result, Quillgin gained an immense hatred for Santa for destroying his life's work and vowed revenge.

Present[]

A few months later on the night of Christmas Eve, Santa Claus comes flying in with a floating snowboard and takes the present away from Quillgin. They fight in the sled for a while, but Quillgin pushes Santa to the wall and starts to open the box again. Santa yells a command to Rudolph, his lead reindeer. Rudolph shoots Quillgin with a laser coming out from his nose, which knocks the box from Quillgin’ hands. Santa then takes the box and jumps out of the sleigh.

When Benson ordered Mordecai and Rigby enter the garage to get more soda, they notice the roof has been smashed and see Santa Claus on top of the smashed golf cart. Santa is surprised/annoyed to see them and proves he is the real Santa Claus by telling them how they used to write letters to him every year asking him for invisibility cloaks. Too injured to continue, Santa entrusts them with the box, telling them that it is incredibly dangerous.

Santa reveals himself, to the staff's amazement. Rigby wonders why he has invisibility cloaks. Santa reminds him that he can make it; he just can't give them out. Quillgin is surprised and angry that he survived, and Santa reveals he wore body armor. Quillgin throws a grenade to scatter them and grabs the box, declaring it is only fitting that he ruins Santa's life work like he did his. He uses the box to grant his wish for the destruction of Christmas. Magic explosives appear on Christmas presents and decorations around the world, and a detonator appears in the box. Santa and the park staff are horrified while Quillgin prepares to activate it.

Mordecai rushes up to Quillgin and knocks him into the lava pit. Rigby chases after Mordecai. In the pit, Mordecai, Rigby and Quillgin fight. Quillgin initially repels Mordecai, though Rigby appears and the two stare into the box, causing it to switch between the detonator and ice cream. Mordecai tells Rigby to let go, which he does, and pulls out a two-person hoverboard before dropping the box. Quillgin chases after the box, while Mordecai grabs Rigby. Quillgin is about to have his wish come true when he realizes that he is too close to the lava, which incinerates both him and the box.

Santa brings the Park employees back home. When Benson asks what he thinks of his shirt, Santa tells him that he should've thrown it into the lava pit while they were there, so he takes it off and throws it on the ground. The attendees have since gone home, and Thomas has fallen asleep. Benson wakes up Thomas and tells Mordecai and Rigby to clean the mess, leaving to get supplies. Mordecai notices a box for him and Rigby with a note on them that says, "It's okay to break the rules once in a while." When Benson returns with the cleaning supplies, he cannot find the two and goes to clean the mess himself, much to his frustration. Upon leaving, Mordecai and Rigby are revealed to be wearing invisibility cloaks and play games on the television.

Personality and traits[]

He is a kind person who gets loved by the people (especially kids), as well he is braver against his enemy, he also gives gifts for people and children especially he risked his life to save the christmas and The Park Gang.

Santa Claus doesn't look a lot like how most people imagined he'd look like (he says TV producers made that appearance up). He has really long hair, which he has tied back into a ponytail. He wears a black jacket that is unbuttoned, revealing a red shirt, which is tucked in. He also wears brown pants, a belt, and a red scarf. The only things people got right about him were his beard and white hair. He doesn't wear a Santa hat. He also isn't fat at all, in fact, he has a six-pack. Santa also wears a bulletproof vest under his shirt.
