Sarah Hatoff is one of the three tritagonists (alongside Chief and 80-HD) in the Dog Man franchise.
She is an Australian news reporter whose the biggest fan of Dog Man. She also is the owner of Zuzu.
She will be voiced by Isla Fisher in the upcoming film adaptation, who also voiced Beans in Rango, Toothiana in Rise of the Guardians, Maddie in Back to the Outback.

Sarah Hatoff made her debut as a minor character in Chapter Four. She made a news report of Petey's trapping all of the dogs in the city and trying to crush them with his Mutt-Masher 2000. When things seemed like they couldn't get any worse, the weenies' leader chimed in claiming he would make things even worse.
Dog Man: Unleashed[]
Sarah appears in the second book, entering the shop Penelope's Pets to buy Zuzu. She later investigated The Mysterious Stranger's robbery of plastic treasure chests. She later accompanied Chief and Dog Man to stop Flippy. Unlike in the first book, she is a supporting character in this book.
Dog Man: A Tale Of Two Kitties[]
At the beginning, Sarah's news about Dog Man and Chief is shown, but she doesn't make a physical appearance. Later, She is seen when Dog Man calls her and tells her that Lil Petey has gone missing. She is also found on Page 152 with Dog Man putting up "Lost Cat Kid Posters" and helped destroy the Beasty Buildings. She also is with Chief asking him if he wanted to destroy more buildings. She is also crying because she thought Dog Man died. Her last appearance was her making a citizens arrest to Flippy.

It is confirmed that Sarah will appear in the movie adaptation of the series. While not much is known about her role in the film, it is known that, with her pet poodle Zuzu and her new cameraman Seamus, she would interview Dog Man and Chief when the former was created, and would later be a helpful ally to Dog Man and Petey in saving their son, Li'l Petey.

- Due to her appearance in the Cat Kid Comic Club series, she has the second-to-most appearances out of any Dog Man character. The only character that has more appearances than her is Li'l Petey.
- It is confirmed she will appear in the series upcoming thirteenth book, Dog Man: Big Jim Begins.
- It is confirmed she is Australian in Dog Man and Cat Kid.
- She is named after Sarah Hatton, Dav Pilkey's friend from Australia. The two also have the same birthday, December 26th.[1]
