Saesenthessis known as Saskia is a major character in The Witcher franchise, serving as a minor character in The Sword of Destiny, two of the tritagonists (alongside Triss Merigold) in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, and the main protagonist of the comic book Matters of Conscience.

She is the daughter of the golden dragon Villentretenmerth and the green dragon Myrgtabrakke, which is why she became a brown dragon hybrid. As a human known to everyone around her as Saskia, she is a warrior of the Aedirn army, defending Verden against Henselt's forces. And when she gets used to Henselt, she becomes the queen of her own free state.

She was voiced by Eiry Hughes.

Appearance[]

As a dragon, Saskia, like most dragons, resembles a huge, slender lizard with a slender neck, a long tail, a triangular head with a toothed mouth, her body is covered with mostly hard scales, large clawed paws, and large bat-like wings. However, due to the dragon subspecies of its parents, its body color is brownish-gold and its dragon form is muscular.

In her human form, Saskia's appearance is that of a beautiful, slim and young woman with long, dark blonde hair. His face has shapely lips, dark eyebrows and large eyes. Saskia's figure has a large bust and huge hips. She is dressed in plate armor without a breastplate, and wears a red and white headband on her hair.

Biography[]

Before her birth, her mother Myrgtabrakke was a former dragon who became a target for hunting by the local villagers of the village of Barefield in the kingdom of Caingorn. Some time later, a shoemaker named Sheepbagger created an artificial sheep with a mixture of sulfur, hemlock, hellebore, Belladona, tar and tacks in order to effectively poison the dragon by attracting her. Unfortunately for the dragon, he took the bait and devoured the sheep whole very quickly. Then Myrgtabrakke Wanda tried to fly away from the kingdom of Caingorn, but instead of flying away due to poisoning, she fell to the ground barely alive.
