Sasuke Sarugakure (猿隠 佐助, Sarugakure Sasuke?) is a supporting anime-only character in Ranma ½. He is a ninja who works for Tatewaki Kuno and Kodachi Kuno.
He was voiced by Shigeru Chiba in Japanese and late Robert O. Smith in English.
Biography[]
Sasuke is a ninja who serves Tatewaki Kuno and is very loyal to him. Since Kuno has a strong rivalry with Ranma Saotome, Sasuke helps him to defeat the main protagonists. However, Sasuke is very clumsy and he often hinders more than he helps, which usually leads to the defeat of his master. However, Sasuke sometimes shows to be a problem for Ranma and his friends. Since when being in the Kuno Estate he has proven to be able to use many traps that he has installed there. Sasuke is shown to be very loyal and protective with Kuno and Kodachi even despite the bad treatment they have shown to have with him, and is unable to tell who is right when they argue.
Despite his antagonistic role in the series, Sasuke sometimes joins the protagonists to fight against threats, usually when Kuno is affected. An example is when Kuno was posessed by Miyamoto Musashi, when he saves Ranma, Akane and Ukyo when the posessed Kuno almost hurts them. Other times simply hamgs around with them since Akane shows to give him a better treatment than the Kuno siblings, although at the end he decides to stay with Kuno.
