Sayuri Hanayori is a supporting character of the manga and anime series Owari no Seraph and also one of the main characters of the light novel for the prequel of the series, Seraph of the End: Guren Ichinose: Catastrophe at Sixteen.

She is a member of Guren Ichinose’s squad of the Moon Demon Company, a servant for Guren’s family, the second in command of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army (JIDA), an army tutor for the training classes.

She is voiced in Japanese by Atsumi Tanezaki and in English by Skyler McIntosh.

Appearance

In the prequel series, when she was eighteen-year-old, she had beige eyes and hairs with braids on top of it and was pretty short. She used to wear the standard, Shibuya female High School uniform. When Guren formed his squad, she later on wore the battle uniform of the Imperial Demon special forces, that had two column of buttons, white gloves, a red tie around her neck, a long and white belt with a circle shaped buckle and a pair of high knee dark boots.

In the main series, she now has the right sides of her hair down and the left sides tied with braids with a “x” shaped red pink hairclip. She is in the JIDA uniform, similar to the one she used to wear eight years ago, but this uniform has two columns of gold buttons in the front, light green lines on the shoulder board with a fourragère orned around her right shoulder connected to each side of the coat. With all of that she also wears a military armband on the right side of her left arm, a pair like of white gloves and also knee-high black boots like previous, but shorter this time.

Equipments

• Kukuri, or translated to english "Chrysanthemum reason": is the cursed gear of Sayuri, a type of demon weapon that can be possessed by a demons like all other weapons that is a sword made out of talismans in the anime, however in the light novel her cursed gear are two small knives.
