Jeanne d'Arc; known also as her superhero name Scarlet Fate (January 6, 1412 - Unknown), is a former French warrior who lived approximately 600 years ago and a major posthumous character in Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.
She helped put Charles VII on the French throne during the Hundred Years' War. She was a past Miraculous holder, wielding the Miraculous and transforming into Scarlet Fate, a ladybug-themed superhero when Tikki inhabited the earrings.
She was given her Miraculous as a means to restore the balance when the English knight who wielded the Cat Miraculous, Dark Grimalkin, was sent by his nations regent to subjugate France. They clashed many times, but eventually they fell in love, much to the displeasure of the cruel Monarchs they served. After Jeanne escaped her public execution, she and Dark Grimalkin both renounced their Miraculouses and left everything behind to be together. Then she returns in the series as a ghost in the episode "Ephemeral", after Sass uses his power to go back in time and prevent Shadow Moth from using the Ultimate Miraculous Absolute Power.
In the French version, she is voiced by gfgf. And in English version, by Sabrina Weisz; who also played Tecna in Winx Club and other characters in the series.
Appearance[]
Jeanne has fair skin, with scars on her right and left eyes, she has somewhat visible scars on her right cheek and upper lip. She has dark green eyes and dark brown hair in a pixie cut. In one painting she is seen in a white tunic long sleeved shirt and dress, Ladybug as she is today, she has a red speckled black tunic with armored arms and legs.
Personality[]
Jeanne usually proves to be very courageous, confident and determined. Tikki calls her "tempered," and she's right about her, because she Jeanne displays a sense of greed for battle passion and real stubbornness. As seen in "Ephemeral", she immediately proves aggressive and overbearing, determined to attack first and ask questions later. Unlike Marinette who is very observant, intelligent and thinks things through, Jeanne just goes into battle without thinking.
She also carries the legacy bearer status with honor and pride and expects her successors to do the same. After Marinette asks her about her memory, she is seen to be not very upset, finding it offensive that a user of her Miraculous requests a reunion with a past Miraculous user only to ask trivial questions, demanding Marinette cease the reunion immediately.
However, while she can be quite offensive, she also had a great sense of morality and self-sacrifice, as she was even willing to sacrifice herself if need be, especially in the crossfire battles between the two battles. That's exactly why her enemy, Dark Grimalkin fell in love with her, just as she fell in love with him, they wanted to give away their Miraculous to be together.
Powers and Abilities[]
Since she is seen with a sword that means she was trained on how to fight with it. If this past Ladybug Miraculous holder had the same powers as the current Ladybug, she had enhanced abilities and the superpowers Lucky Charm and the Miraculous Ladybug. She also had a yo-yo, as seen on her hip in the image.

- In "Reunion", it's revealed that Jeanne knew Plagg's holder at that time as Dark Grimalkin.
- She is the first Ladybug Miraculous holder from a distant pasthat Ladybug meets personally.
- She is also the first Ladybug Miraculous holder whose memory was accessed by Ladybug with her kwagatama.
- It is currently unknown if this version of her died the same way as her real-world counterpart did.
- It's revealed in "Reunion" that, unlike her real-world counterpart, Jeanne d'Arc managed to escape the stake and went to live her love with Dark Grimalkin after they renounced their Miraculous.
- Jeanne d'Arc was said to hear voices and have visions, signs interpreted as being from God. In the Miraculous universe, these were possibly due to when she was brought to modern Paris by Sass' Second Chance or when she went to reunite with past holders of her Miraculous, as only the holder and respective kwami can see and hear them.
