Schroeder is a major character in the Peanuts franchise.
In The Peanuts Movie, he is voiced by Noah Johnston, who voiced young Mike Wazowski in Monsters University.
Personality[]
Schroeder has a knack for playing the piano. He is Ludwig Van Beethoven's biggest fan and loves his works, and often plays those songs. Schroeder is very protective of his piano and his idol. Anyone who derides Beethoven is considered an enemy to Schroeder, who voices his love for Beethoven, often angrily. This prevents him from falling in love with Lucy Van Pelt, which she finds annoying.
He is friends with Charlie Brown, and sometimes tells others off for taking advantage of him or treating him badly. An example of this is in Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown, in which he tells off Violet and her friends for trying to give Charlie Brown a used valentine, after they didn't give him any the previous day.
In his interview on the Peanuts characters, Schulz believes Schroeder is kind of pleasing to him. He is fairly down to earth, but he has his own problems, too. He has to play on the painted black piano keys, and he thinks Beethoven was the first President of the United States.
Physical Appearance[]
Schroeder is as big as Charlie Brown is. He has yellow hair and wears a purple shirt with black stripes. His piano is a toy version of a real piano. His winter outfit includes a blue winter coat.
