Prior to the series, Scott and his older brother Marcus joined the Air Force, where their father worked at. Scott was always jealous of Marcus because he was more experienced, had tons of good accomplishments and their father trusted Marcus more than Scott.
During the Battle of Corinth, the Truman brothers were shot down. Marcus died but Scott managed to survive. Scott was helped by a girl named Summer Landsdown. Luckily, they were able to get back in the dome just as the doors closed and the shields activated.
After a year, Scott, Summer, and a guy called Flynn McAllister were recruited by a girl called Dr. K to defeat the Venjix Virus and restore the world. Even though Scott became a Power Ranger and was made leader, his father still didn't see him as good enough.
Sometime during the war, Scott went to the main dimension, met the Samurai Rangers, and together, they fought against Professor Cog and his minions. He takes a train and returns to his own dimension afterwards.
In the Super Megaforce finale, Scott and his team returned to help the Megaforce rangers defeat the Armada for good. They returned to their own dimension afterwards.
Scott was jealous of being in his brother's shadow, because of his reputation and accomplishments. At first, he didn't trust Dillon and they would often butt head each other but in the end, they became good friends. He cares about everyone around him. He would always get upset of what might happen to his car.
