Scylla is an NPC who appears in the 2020 action role-playing fantasy video game Genshin Impact.
Scylla is a dragon prince who lived in Remuria before he was sealed by the treacherous Boethius. During the world quest, The Last Day of Remuria he was released by the traveler.
Appearance[]
Despite being a dragon, Scylla takes the form of a whale similar with a light blue skin with a few purples, two horn like appendages on his head, four fins, and a tail with a few curves.
Personality[]
Like many dragons, Scylla has a grudge against humans for taking over their world. He is however close to Remus, even feeling regret for not being bale to reach Remuria in time.
Background[]
Scylla once served the original Dragon of Water, but after his master died he was tasked with watching over Egeria in the Primordial Sea after she was punished by the Heavenly Principles. When Remus visited the prison of Egeria in finding ways to stand against the Prophecy of Fontaine, the two fought each other in a fierce battle for thirty days and nights until they were both exhausted. During that respite, Remus used music to tell Scylla the purpose of his visit. Scylla mocked the pointlessness of his pursuit, but agreed to take him to Egeria.
During the conflict between Remuria and the ancestors of Fontaine, Scylla appeared to have rebelled against his former ally and sided with the "barbarians". Scylla was assumed to have gathered an army of proto-Fontainians and vishaps known as the Dragonborn and charged towards Remuria, destroying towers and slaughtering musicians. When Scylla tried to breach Remuria's capital city, Capitolium, he had to pass through its protective barrier, the Initium Iani. It was at that moment that Boethius and his Harmost used the Symphony to shut the barrier, thus mmobilizing and sealing Scylla. However his attack was actually conspired between him and Remus. Even after Remus' death and the fall of Remuria, Scylla stilled remained sealed.
Biography[]
2000 years later Scylla was freed by the Traveler, Paimon, and Cassiodor (possessing the cat Osse) to help defeat "Phobos".
