2024[]

After joining the Squid Game as a player, she manages to survive Red Light, Green Light and votes to continue the games on off-screen.

In "Six Legs", she makes her first appearance in the screens. After she teams up with Min-su for Six Legs game, Thanos and his team approaches her and offers her to join their team and with Se-mi accepts it, Min-su also joins Thanos' Team. After they teamed up and waiting for their turn to play the game, Nam-gyu was being rude to Min-su and Se-mi instantly starts to defend Min-su. She called Nam-gyu "Mr. Shaky Hands" and commented about his reliance of drugs. In the end, Nam-gyu complained that she had an attitude and called her "bitch". In the game, she plays Biseokchigi and both her and her teammates passes the game and waited at the dormitory like the other player who passed the game.

In "One More Game", while waiting, Min-su was about to counting the remaining player due to Nam-gyu's order but Se-mi prevents him doing that and stated that it is pointless doing so as they will find out who is left each game. While Thanos' Team were discussing their age, Se-mi lies about her age and Thanos gaves her the nickname "Noona".

In the second voting, she votes to continue the games again on off-screen.

In mealtime, after getting her meal, Min-su asks her if she was scared playing the games and she admits that she is indeed scared but she says if she goes out now, she will have to face even scarier things. She also admits that she is actually younger than him and she just lied to Thanos and Nam-gyu and she requested him to not tell it to them.

The next morning, while Min-su looking at Nam-gyu while he wants a drug from Thanos, Se-mi approaches him and warns him about taking drugs and staying with their team after they leave the games, calling them idiots and easy to control and only using them in this game scenario. Min-su then asks why she wanted to team with him and she says that she thought he wouldn't betray her. She also says that she will leave the games after the prize becomes ₩100 million.

In "O X", While playing Mingle, she stays close to their group for the most part. After Thanos kicks Gyeong-su to the ground because he was extra, Se-mi grabs Min-su to make sure he makes it to the room with them. When it was announced they had to create groups of 3 on round 3 and Thanos and Nam-gyu starts to play rock paper scissors to decide who stays, Se-mi extends her hand to Min-su and ask him to join her. Surprisingly, Min-su respond her with playing scissors due to feeling threatened by Thanos and basically betrays Min-su. Se-mi feels betrayed and surprised and left there alone. After its allowed to exits to room, she stares at him in disbelieve. She keeps playing the game herself and she manages to survive.

In the third voting, Se-mi votes to terminate the games instead of continue the games even if the prize wasn't ₩100 million. The biggest reason why she voted terminating games is because of the betrayal. After that, she saws Nam-gyu while he pressuring and intimidating Min-su, she gaves him a middle finger. When its time for Min-su's voting, because of Se-mi's vote and his own guilt Min-su also votes for terminating the games.

In "Friend or Foe", since she is not one of Gi-hun's inner circle, she didn't know about Special Game so she didn't hide anywhere and this left her vulnerable. When the lights were turned off and Team O started to attack Team X, Nam-gyu attacks Se-mi with the same fork that Myung-gi used to stab Thanos. As Se-mi fights for her life against Nam-gyu, Min-su throws a glass bottle to Nam-gyu from above in attempt to save Se-mi, but misses and then just lays in his bed, scared. Even if its missed, it makes Nam-gyu distracted and Se-mi takes the glass shard from Min-su's bottle to fight back. Eventually Se-mi gets stabbed from the neck by Nam-gyu, who proceeds to stab her a second time and throw her into the ground before killing her with repeated stabs to the neck, leaving Min-su in distress from her death.
