Segi is the main protagonist of the Sesame Street songs, "I Love My Hair", "Change the World", and "Raise Your Hand Up High". She is a muppet who is a role model.

In the song "I Love My Hair", Segi teaches viewers self-esteem, by demonstrating how she is proud of her hair. In the lyrics, Segi is depicted wearing her hair in many ways. With fast cuts, Segi changes her hairstyles multiple times.

In the song "Change the World", Segi sings about a myriad of possible roles that the viewers could become in their futures.
