Seiichirō Kitano is the main hero and a boy whose face inspires terror and despair in other people's hearts, but whose true nature is that of a kind-hearted boy. His gentle and caring actions mostly frighten those around him, and while he's used to getting hit for no apparent reason at all (except for his terrifying features), he has a natural ability to move instantly along the direction of the hits thereby suffering little to no damage. He is also observed of having the will to remain standing despite injuries (whether cosmetic or real).
He was voiced by Nobuo Tobita.
Personality[]
Kitano wants nothing but peace on earth and good will to all. Seriously, there aren't many manga characters out there that are quite as pure-hearted or kind as him. To elaborate, he apologized to Ikuno after she had beat the stuffing out of him the day before because he would not go down which, as Leo pointed out, hurt her emotionally because she did not want to attack him. He was crying as he apologized to her.
Abilities[]
Kitano has seemingly superhuman abilities as a result of some kind of natural gift for efficient movement. He can take a lot more abuse than just about anyone else in the series, and the few times he pushes people, they fly away. Even in the first chapter, Kitano lifts a fallen tree on the school grounds without any more difficulty than he was earlier picking up empty cans and discarded wrappers.
