Seita Yokokawa is the fourteen year old protagonist of the 1988 animated Studio Ghibli film, Grave of the Fireflies. After he and his young sister Setsuko lose their mother in the Kobe firebombing of World War II, their lives becomes a constant struggle for survival.
He was voiced by Tsutomu Tatsumi in the Japanese, and by J. Robert Spencer in the 1998 and Adam Gibbs in 2012 in the English.
Appearance
Seita has dark brown hair cut short and dark brown eyes. He wears an off white Captain's cap or school uniform cap with a black viser and a beige Kokumin-fuku jacket with a name tag, white tanktop underneath and beige pants with legwrapping on his shins he wears black ankle lace boots.
Voice acting
Seita Yokokawa is provided the voice by Tsutomu Tatsumi in Japanese and J. Robert Spencer in English.
Early life
Seita Yokokawa was born in 1931. In 1941 his sister Setsuko is born. Sadly, he passed away on September 21st, 1945 towards end of the film.
