Sergeant Thompson was a United States Army Sergeant prior to the Great War. She is a squad-mate with Captain Fields and Sergeant Radcliff.

She is voiced by Andromeda Dunker.

Background[]

Sergeant Thompson has been fighting under the command of Captain Oliver Fields since the Resource Wars. She lost three toes there due to frostbite. She specialized in dog training. Thompson was part of original team responsible for moving the gold reserves from Fort Knox to Vault 79 in the event of nuclear war. They were unfortunately locked out and wandered around, but staying close to Appalachia. They came back upon hearing it was safe enough to return. They made a stop on the way and went to the Pitt to try to save citizens but failed. Captain Fields was wounded and only survived because Thompson sent two of her dogs to defend them. Thompson considered retiring afterwards, but decided not to when she heard military remnants were in Appalachia, those being the Taggerdy's Thunder Army Rangers under Lieutenant Elizabeth Taggerdy, who had been on war games exercises in Appalachia when the Great War/World War III broke out. On their way they met up with the Settlers. Thompson meet up with the Vault Dweller in a ransacked bunker that had belonged to the Free States to talk about using the gold reserves to make a new economy in Appalachia. Afterwards, Thompson and the rest of her squad-mates move to Foundation and remain there for the rest of the game, making themselves at home in the underground Founder's Hall with the other members of the Vault 79 team and other Settlers to help rebuild Appalachia from the aftermath of the Great War/WWIII. Thompson also takes care of their last remaining dog Private Lucky. When visiting them in Founder's Hall, they are usually found in the room adorned with the Stars and Stripes, due to their background as members of the United States Armed Forces.
