Serling is a major protagonist in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fast Forward and a supporting protagonist in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Back To The Sewer.
He is a robot from the year 2105, Serling serves as butler and caretaker to Cody Jones, a role he has held for the entirety of Cody's life, having been more family to him than Darius Dun.
He was voiced by Marc Thompson.
History[]
Serling was programmed to take care of Cody since he was a child, even when he lost his parents, he remained by their side.
Cody one day creates a time window to view the Turtles' exploits in the past, but accidentally transports them and Splinter into his time. Serling goes to help them and saves them, except Mikey, from the Peacekeepers, giving them multi-breathing air filters. When Mikey is found, Serling gives him the same equipment as well.
The Turtles are forced to stay in that time until Cody manages to improve the time window, which Serling can't handle much as they make a huge mess in the attic, destroying an antique.
While testing the new Holo Dojo, Serling becomes infected by Viral.
When the Turtles become trapped in the new Gaminator program, Cody discovers that Serling can touch them without being affected by neural fields and uses him as a link to download some "cheat codes" to the Turtles. But when they defeat Viral, the Turtles send Serling back into the game.
When it's Cody's birthday, everyone has to keep it a secret. Serling collected a set of all the videos with him and Cody, except the one with Darius, which he deleted. Coincidentally, Cody becomes trapped in his own Turtle X armor controlled by Dun. Serling, determined to save him, overloads the antivirus program and chases the rogue Turtle Which he learned from them. However, he creates a mess by tearing off Turtle X's right arm and is severely damaged before the download finishes. Cody promises Serling he will fix it and get them new Turtle X armor.
Cody and Serling disobey President Bishop's direct order not to follow him and the Turtles to Moonbase Bishop. They arrive just in time to save them from becoming Kanabo drones. Serling also wants a Viral, and traps her with a decompiler.
Cody eventually finishes the time window but Viral (who reconstituted herself inside Serling after their last encounter) takes control of both Serling and the time window, sending them sending the heroes to the dinosaurs ages. The Turtles manage to go to their original timeline. There, he meets April and Casey and tries to onstruct a makeshift time window to return to 2105. He tries to distract the Turtles as while doing so but the time window accidentally shrinks him where it takes him to different timelines, eventaully being in a time period to when the Turtles are kids. The young Turtles find him thinking he's a toy but Wendell (who found him as a kid) evenutally finds him and plans to reproduce him. He is eventually brought back to the 21 centruy where he tells the Turtles what happened.
He attends April and Casey's wedding and helps the Turtles defeat Cyber Shredder.
Trivia[]
- It's unknown what happened to him as he was absent in the film Turtles Forever. Though it's likely the Turtles found a way to bring him back to his time period at some point proir to the film.
