Setsuna is one of the titular main protagonists of the series Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon. She is the daughter of Sesshomaru and Rin, and the younger twin sister of Towa Higurashi.
She is voiced by Mikako Komatsu in the Japanese version and Kira Buckland in the English version.
Appearance[]
Despite being an Inu-hanyĆ, a half-demon, Setsuna looks like a normal human teenager. She's 160 cm tall and has an athletic build. She has purple eyes and her hair, which she wears in a ponytail, is black with a hint of red. She was born in 1505 and is thus 14-years old.
Personality[]
Like her father, she is calm and unflappable. Commonly when in battle alongside Towa, she is quite swift to critique her often relenting or uncertain tendencies, but in a caring manner, to keep her indispensable sister and ally safe from Feudal Japan's many terrors.
In the manga continuity, Setsuna is less grumpy and more taciturn. Since the Dream Butterfly takes away any positive feelings she has in this version, Setsuna elects not to speak unless necessary; not wishing to offend others as she can mostly only say harsh or indifferent things. Why she cannot deeply feel compassion, it's still there.
History[]
She is the half-demon demon slayer who works under Kohaku. She was separated from her older twin sister Towa when they were both four-years-old but was reunited with her after traveling to the future with her cousin, Moroha. She seemed to have difficulty believing Towa is really her sister at first, until her kindful instinct returned later on as her bond with her sister was restored.
