Shūhei Hisagi is a supporting character from the anime/manga series, Bleach. He is co-lieutenant of the 9th Division, formerly under Captain Kaname Tōsen and currently under Captain Kensei Muguruma. He shares his position with Mashiro Kuna.
He is voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi in the Japanese version of the anime and by Steve Staley in the English version.
Appearance[]
In addition, he has the number "69" tattooed on his left cheek and blue stripes that run to the bridge of his nose. He wears a necklace and matching armbands on both arms. In addition, he wears a sleeveless shihakushō and has a Lieutenant's insignia tied to his left shoulder.
Seventeen months after Sōsuke Aizen's defeat, he has changed his hairstyle, letting it fall against his face and coming down near his ears.
Personality[]
Most of the time, Hisagi is very mature, calm and quite serious, although he does have some more comical (and sometimes even slightly perverse) moments. When Kaname Tosen was still Hisagi's captain, he greatly admired him and eagerly learned his philosophy on justice. However, when Tosen was revealed to be a traitor to Soul Society along with Aizen and Gin, Hisagi developed a close relationship with Captain Sajin Komamura, Tosen's former friend, and the two made it a point of honor to open Kaname's eyes to the truth the next time they met. In addition to that, he is often seen in the company of Izuru Kira and Renji Abarai.
Hisagi is not fond with his Zanpakuto, Kazeshini due to him hating the shape of his Shikai and reaping people's life.
In his free time, he likes to play a guitar he found during one of his missions in the World of the Living, but he wasn't very good at it until Yasutora Sado taught him how to play it better.
