Shadow is the titular character and one of the main protagonists of the Shadow Fight video game franchise.
He serves as the main protagonist of RPG fighting video game Shadow Fight 2 and the secondary antagonist-turned-major character of its sequel Shadow Fight 3. He is set to return in the upcoming interquel Shades as the titular main protagonist once again.
Appearance[]
In Shadow Fight 2, before he became a shadow, he was a tall and young man with a muscular body, who was wearing robes and had his long hair tied in a bun. His body and clothes turn to a black, shadowy form after he gets struck by the Shadow Energy emission released by the Gates of Shadows. Through his long journey he gets to wear a huge amount of different looking armors, helms and weapons. At one point he gets disguised as one of Titan's soldiers by Ancient, who wanted to help Shadow hide from Titan. After he succeeded in his task to defeat Titan, he manages to regain his former human body.
In Shadow Fight 3, Shadow appears mostly similar to what he looked like at the end of the previous game, with a few changes. He has grown older, his hair is now mostly grey colored, but still long and tied in a bun. He still only wears a pair of black pants. His body is still as muscular as it was when he was younger, although deep scars can be seen all over it due to his many fights against Shadow Beasts and other enemies. He's also got bandages tied on each of his hands and feet.
Personality[]
In Shadow Fight 2, Shadow is a hotheaded person and honorable warrior. Before his goal to save the world and redeem himself, he liked fighting anybody who wanted to oppose him. Shadow doesn't show much personality through the story. He really loves May and the reason he went through the Gates Of Shadows is to save her. Shadow doesn't want power or money, which is the reason why he never took over the Shadow Demons' powers after defeating them to rule the world, unlike his five corrupted copies from other timelines who did just that.
During the events of Shadow Fight 3, Shadow is described by many characters as being a selfish person who doesn't want to live with his mistakes and instead blames somebody else for them happening. He hates Shadow Energy and it's core called Shadow Mind for causing him to accidentally kill his wife, May, and will do anything to destroy them. He considers everyone who embrace Shadow Energy and Shadow Mind (because they have the potential to serve the people and make humanity evolve and people's everyday lives easier) as enemies, even if some of them are his close friends.
He wants to destroy the world and create it from scratch in which him and all of humanity would live a safe and happy life. Getting to destroying the world requires immoral actions for him to take, such as usurping the throne from Queen Iolanda to take over the faction and its zealot people who admired him for his heroic acts in the past, commit genocide on two factions (Dynasty and Heralds) to achieve an advanced technology needed to destroy the world (from this point on anybody outside of legionaries consider him as a monster), attempting to kill his own child who rose up against him that also carries Shadow Mind with him/her, and force the child Moira (sister of Iolanda, and a person to whom he developed parental affection towards) against her will to watch as he fights his son/daughter to death so that when he kills him/her she can take the Shadow Mind from his corpse and use it to activate the destruction of the world.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Skillful Warrior: Shadow is a very skillful warrior. This was proven in the cutscenes and by other Characters like his Sensei and Titan. In Shadow Fight 3, Shadow can fight with the player barehanded.
- Superhuman strength: His powers are even stronger than his normal form after he got the Shadow Form. In the fight with the Shadow Demons, Shadow defeated them easily. Hermit said Shadow doesn't belong to this world because no one can be that powerful
- Shadow Form: Shadow form buffs Shadow strength and speed. And more importantly, he can't die in his Shadow From, which means he's immortal.
- High Combat Intelligence: Shadow is very smart in combat. He learns in every fights with bodyguards and bosses.
- Magic Powers: Shadow learned to use Magic after defeating Hermit.
Trivia[]
- Shadow doesn't talk during the whole game in Shadow Fight 2. The only time he does is during the intro when he explains his past and it is implied he told Kali his name after she asked him about it.
- In Shadow Fight 3, when he accidentally fused with Shadow Mind and was fighting the Descendant, he could create a copy of Titan's Desolate sword to use it in combat.
