Shadow Kirby is a major character of the Kirby franchise. He is the defender of Mirror World and the Mirror World counterpart of Kirby. He first appeared in Kirby and the Amazing Mirror where he played an adversarial role throughout most of the game until he realized who his true adversaries were and assisted Kirby in defeating the antagonist Dark Mind.
Appearance[]
Shadow Kirby looks exactly like his Dreamland counterpart, except with a different coloration. In The Amazing Mirror and Star Allies, Shadow Kirby has a deep grey body with black feet. However, in other Kirby games, He is completely black with his eyes and mouth colored white.
Biography[]
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror[]
Shadow Kirby will appear at certain points during the game and attack the heroes with a different ability he has obtained. Depending on the location, he will attack using the Fire, Ice, Bomb, or Cutter ability and leave behind either a Maxim Tomato, 1UP, or Invincibility Candy upon his defeat. Once Kirby engages battle with Dark Mind, Shadow Kirby will assist him by giving Kirby the Master ability if he loses it during the fight. It is later revealed that the reason Shadow Kirby had attacked the heroes was because he was trying to protect Mirror World from invaders and did not realize they were actually there to help.
Kirby Triple Deluxe[]
Shadow Kirby serves as the final opponent in single player mode of the sub-game "Kirby Fighters". He uses the same ability as Kirby during the battle.
Kirby Fighters Deluxe[]
Shadow Kirby appears as a opponent and a skin for Kirby to unlock. The skin can be unlocked by completing Very Hard mode with any ability. However, once the skin is obtained, Shadow Kirby will no longer be a opponent, with Team DDD taking his place.
Kirby Star Allies[]
Shadow Kirby makes a cameo appearance on the Jambastion world map. There is a chance he can be seen in the background, flying on a Warp Star.
Kirby Fighters 2[]
Shadow Kirby is a boss fought in Story Mode during the forth and final chapters. According to in-game descriptions, he treats his confrontations with the heroes as a game and is unaware of how much trouble he is causing.
