Shakuyaku, also known as Shakky, is a supporting character in the anime and manga series One Piece. She is the wife of Silvers Rayleigh, and the bartender Shakky's Rip-off Bar in the Sabaody Archipelago. She was also the empress of Amazon Lily and the Kuja Tribe, where she served as the former right hand of Gloriosa, then later took captain of the Kuja Pirates, two generations prior to her successor.

In the past, she was revered as the most beautiful woman in the world and attracted many who would compete for her affection, including infamous pirates such as Gol D. Roger and Rocks D. Xebec. She played an essential role in the God Valley Incident, where she was abducted by the Knights of God and served as a prize in the Native Hunting Competition but she was saved by her future husband, Silvers Rayleigh.

She was voiced by the late Hiromi Tsuru but was later replaced by Masumi Asano in Japanese after the former's passing and Elizabeth Maxwell in English.

Appearance[]

Shakuyaku is a slim woman with black short hair, has two pointing tufts upper always to be seen smoking and cigarette and black eyes. She still possesses a very young appearance, in spite of her elderly old age.

She has a pink t-shirt v-neck who follows possessed to the tummy has her black spider it on with black jacket has pink lines rans down in sleeves who is wing-like cuffs. She has yellow necklace, black and yellow pants with does have giraffe-like pattern, pink and white cardigan belt with tied up across it, and white shoes and it has pointing fingernails.

Many years ago, the physical featuring looks like as easy does it now, it is certain by subtle dressing differences. She typically wears a A-shirt with the same color and spider on it when it the sport current story, it's has short pair of pants, and doesn't have wear any necklace and jacket.

In her time with the Kujas, Shakky wore a long sleeve shirt and a mini skirt with a Kuja's Jolly Roger on it. Her hair was longer. She wore a white coat. Shakky was described as beautiful, even outshining her predecessor with various love letter and gaining the attention of the latter's love interest Roger, as well as Rocks, Whitebeard, and various members of the Rocks Pirates. Shakky even garnered attention from the World Nobles such as Figarland Garling.

Personality[]

Shakky is a knowledgeable woman who seems to possess a lot of information on other pirates and the world in general. She acts as an informant that provides news for Luffy and his crews. She is also shown to be highly intuitive, being able to guess Luffy and Hancock's Impel Down penetration plan, between known that she is the love interest of Luffy.

Shakky has also shown to have a bit of a playful side of her, as she teased Chopper into believing he needed to pay her to have only 100,000 bellies for his cotton candy. Despite this, she still retains some sense of wisdom, as she recommend her successor, Hancock that she must leave Amazon Lily since Calm Belt is no longer safe for her due to Vegapunk's Seraphims.

In the past, Shakky was a very independent woman that refused let herself be taken by men so easily. Much like her successor and daughter-figure Hancock, Shakky declared she belongs to nobody. Even when she succumbed to the Love Sickness like her predecessor, she focused more on living her own life away from her duties as empress and did not try to actively pursue the man she was in love with, that being Rayleigh. Nonetheless, she would make it clear to him in the letter that she was in love with him and would wait for him to claim her as his own.

Abilities and Powers[]

Superhuman Strength: As the previous empress of Amazon Lily, Shakky is one of the strongest Kujas (even more powerful than her successor, Boa Hancock). She can easily beat up three large sized pirates who are larger than her to a bloody pulp before throwing them out, and she claims to have survived being chased by Garp, who is legendary for his strength as one of the strongest Marines in his prime. She easily defeated the young Gol D. Roger, though this was because he was lovestruck and could not focus on her, best seen when he recovered and fought an arriving Garp. Even while chained, she defeated several marines and landed a blow on Sommers.
Intellect: Shakky has eluded the World Government for over thirty years, since her retirement from piracy and ran a successful bar. Nowadays, she is always well-informed and always up to date. From recognizing his family name, Shakky correctly deduced Luffy's relation to Garp before it became public knowledge. She gave any information that the Straw Hats may need such as information about the Eleven Supernovas. She always follows the information from the daily newspaper, and she is always able to make the assessment based on how the news react to the movements of pirates. Rayleigh remarked that her deductions were so spot on, it bordered on scary. After Hancock lost her title as a Warlord (due to Crocodile and Doflamingo's sins), Shakky recommend her successor to leave Amazon Lily since the island is no longer safe if Hancock stay at their home which is advisable that Hancock willingly obliged due to the Marines' nuisances.
Haki: As the ex-Empress of Amazon Lily, Shakky has knowledge of Haki just like the Kuja Tribe and most likely skilled in it.

She is the first Empress who accepted her love for Rayleigh allowing her to survive from Love Sickness (a disease that succumbed the previous empresses of Amazon Lily when they died due to them rejecting their love for men).
- Love Sickness was previously incurable, however, thanks to her following her love, the cure was revealed, thus this information was used by Lady Nyon who in turn gave this advice to Boa Hancock, saving the young woman from an early death (and incidentally creating a powerful ally for Luffy).
  - It was later revealed she was the second to recover, as Lady Nyon AKA Gloriosa had also survived the disease.
Even though she first appeared in the Sabaody Arc, the fact that she was the previous Empress of Amazon Lily was not revealed until post-timeskip.
- Her relationship with Rayleigh was similarly not clear until post-timeskip, with the facts of the matter made nebulous since he made flirtatious remarks about many attractive women.
Despite being chased by Garp, Shakky bears no grudge on him or his family.
Shakky's past history appears to be inspired from the story of Helen of Troy, who was similarly revered as the most beautiful woman in the world, as many suitors would compete for her affection.
