Shattermaster is a minor character from Dragons: Race to the Edge. He is the riding dragon of Dagur the Deranged before Sleuther.
Biography[]
Dagur told Hiccup that he wanted to have a riding dragon. Hiccup told him that he has already chosen a dragon for him. Dagur wanted to name it Shattermaster. That dragon turned out to be a Gronckle. Dagur trained him as his first dragon and he even rode on his back. Later Dagur and Shattermaster started attacking the Dragon Hunters, but both of them got defeated.
In Saving Shattermaster, Hiccup was suspecting Dagur is still allied with the Dragon Hunters, but Dagur claimed that he was just about to save Shattermaster. They freed Shattermaster alongside other Gronckles.
In Gold Rush, Shattermaster was shown to break through dragon-proof metal. Dagur called this method Shatter Scatter.
In Shell Shocked Part 2, when Dagur was riding on Shattermaster, Shattermaster got hit and injured by a boulder catapulted by the Dragon Hunters. A Triple Stryke Dragon let Dagur ride on his back and that dragon became Dagur's next dragon.
In King of the Dragons Part 2, Shattermaster is shown alive as a ringbearer during Mala and Dagur's wedding.
Appearance[]
Shattermaster is a green Gronckle with a lighter green underbelly. He has a typical look of all Gronckles since he is a Gronckle. He is also bulky in appearance and has a club-like tail, small wings, and bumps.
Personality[]
Shattermaster is a friendly type. It is likely that he was trained by someone else before Dagur since he is already loyal.
