Doctor Shaun Murphy, M.D. is a 29 year old surgeon witch high functioning autism. He is portrayed by BrIrish Actor Freddie Highmore who also portrayed Charlie Bucket in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Norman Bates in Bates Motel, and Jared and Simon Grace in The Spiderwick Chronicles.
Bio
Shaun Murphy was born on March 20, 1988 in San Francisco, California, United States. He had trouble socializing and understanding how school worked which outraged his father and his mother didn’t know how to help either. The only family member who supported him was his brother Steven until he died in an accident. Ever since he studied medicine manges to get his High School Diploma and go to med school. Murphy was diagnosed with autism and savant syndrome, a condition where someone with mental disabilities demonstrate certain abilities in a subject that is above human average.
