Shenhe is a major supporting character in Genshin Impact and the main protagonist of the event The Crane Returns on the Wind. She is the aunt of Chongyun and she is a disciple of the Cloud Retainer.
Many years ago at age 6, Shenhe was abandoned and exiled by her father after her mother died. She was discovered and formally raised by the Adepti, one of them being Cloud Retainer. When her father was attempting to use the children as sacrifices to revive his wife, Shenhe destroyed the malevolent god and saved the children as well was going to die from fall only to be saved by the Adepti. Her father later passed away as his madness and hatred towards his daughter reaches to its "breaking point".

- In the Japanese version, she is voiced by Ayako Kawasumi, who is known for voicing Artoria Pendragon from the Fate series, Fuu Kasami from Samurai Champloo, Kokoro from Dead or Alive 6.
- In the English version, she is voiced by Chelsea Kwoka.
- In the Mandarin version, she is voiced by Qin Ziyi, who also voiced Xianyun in the same role, and Cleo Sertori from H2O: Mermaid Adventures series.
- In the Korean version, she is voiced by Lee Hyun-jin.
Appearance[]
Shenhe is a young woman with braided silver hair with black hair gradients with a black and white hair accessory on her right side of the head and wears a black bodysuit with a white top and wears red tassels and a red tassel earring. Back at then, her hair color is originally black at birth, but it was changed into silver as she grows mature as an "Adeptus", possibly her abnormal genetic trait. She is given red ropes to suppress her homicidal tendencies. Her red rope was tied into a bow and holds her Cryo Vision.
Biography[]
As a child, she had a happy life until her mother died. Shenhe's father started mistreating her and tries to sacrifice her to an evil deity for her mother to be resurrected to make his life happier. Shenhe starts to believe that she is cursed and starts becoming homicidal and was raised by Cloud Retainer and was given Red Ropes to suppress her tendencies. She became Cloud Retainer's student and prominent member of the Adepti.
Powers and Abilities[]
Shenhe is arguably the strongest mortal in the game due to her long-term years of training and discipline through the Adepti's teachings. Compared to other Cyro users such as Kamisato Ayaka and Rosaria, Shenhe has the Cryo Vision and wields a polearm in combat. Like her nephew, Chongyun, she can uses talismans as part of her exorcism.
Spring Spirit Summoning[]
The frosted dew, silvery and dense, shall exorcise all demons. Grants all nearby party members the Icy Quill effect and deals Cryo damage in different ways based on whether it is pressed or held.
Divine Maiden's Deliverance[]
Unleashes the power of the Talisman Spirit, allowing it to roam free in this plane, dealing AoE Cryo damage.
