Sho Kuroki is a major protagonist in the Heisei Godzilla films.
History[]
Godzilla Vs. Biollante[]
Sho Kuroki was a JSDF major whom managed to graduate the top of his class at the National Defense Academy. Following Godzilla’s imprisonment inside of Mount Mihara in 1984, the NDA assigned him as director of Office of Special Strategic Operations where he was tasked to help the National Land Agency’s Special Disaster Research Council in case Godzilla ever escaped. Paired with Colonel Gondo, the two reached out Dr. Genichiro Shiragami to try and convince him to help engineer the Anti-Nuclear Energy Bacteria. Once Godzilla was freed as a result of SSS9, Kuroki was put in charge of the crew controlling the Super X2.
With the help of his crew, he had them send the Super X2 to the Pacific Ocean to battle against Godzilla and managed to do a good job at it thanks to its powerful Fire Mirror, which reflected Godzilla's atomic breath right back him. However, as the fight went on the Fire mirror started to melt, forcing them to have the Super X2 return to base
Despite this though, he still chose to remotely pilot it once Godzilla started rampaging in Osaka in order to protect Gondo and his soldiers and distract Godzilla while they were trying to infect him with ANEB, despite the fact that the mirror hadn’t been fixed yet. As Godzilla was about to reach the soldiers, Koruki controlled the Super X2 and flew it in front of Godzilla, resulting in it getting blasted by his atomic breath and being destroyed. Luckily though, Gondo and his soldiers were able to infect him, however at the cost of Gondo’s life.
Things weren’t over yet though as even though Godzilla was infected with the ANEB, his temperature was too low for it to take affect, leading to Kuroki coming up with the idea to use the M6000 T.C. System to raise his temperature. As the operation was taking place, Biollante interrupted it to continue her battle with Godzilla after he defeated her in their last battle. After a fierce fight, Biollante eventually shot corrosive sap spray on him, leading to him blasting his atomic breath through her mouth. In spite of this, her sap spray ultimately managed to weaken him by raising his temperature even further which caused him to fall face first into the ocean while she retreated back in space.
Following this fight, he later saved Dr. Kazuto Kirishima from getting killed by SSS9 by activating one of artificial lightning generator he was unknowingly stepping on before he could shoot him.
