Sidearm Sideswipe is an alias for the robot from the Movie Continuity.
Sideswipe has been doing really well in battle - and because of his advancements in everything he uses, especially his technology, Wheeljack, who is impressed with his fighting skills, designed some better side arm cannons for him, along with some streaks of red to improve the autobot's resilience in battle, helping him to go faster than before and knockout those decepticons he faces in his everyday life.

This version of Sideswipe was actually seen in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen itself, as the autobot targeted his cannons into the enemies' fields. Actually, everything except the new red colour, though.
