Silver the Hedgehog is a supporting character in Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series. He is a mobian 14-year-old hedgehog who hails from 200 years into the future of Sonic's World. Silver has occasionally traveled back in time to help deal with great threats to the planet that affect not only the present but also his future. Currently, he is dealing with the appearances of the Genesis Portals appearing across all of time and space.
Appearance[]
Silver is a very light gray mobian hedgehog with white fur on the chest surrounding the neck with golden eyes and peach skin with a black nose above the muzzle. He has two large spines in the back of his head, while in the front he has five distinct spines flared at the top and back, two of which occupy the large parts of his triangular ears and has a small, short and pointed tail.
Silver wears white gloves with rings with lines protruding from the bottom leading to her cyan accented gold bracelets. The tops of his boots are of a similar fashion with a red gem set in gold. The rest of his boots are navy blue with a white stripe in the center, cyan toes and gray soles.
Personality[]
Silver has a great sense of justice, like when he goes back in time to cancel that event at any cost to help others. However, he can also be slightly naïve, often jumping to conclusions and readily believing everything he is told. He is prone to manipulation and making bad decisions and for this he often needs help.
Although he wants to do the right thing, he often doesn't understand what needs to be done to do it. Silver's sense of justice goes deeper than just saving the future. Regardless of his goals, he is unable to ignore those who need help and will put his missions aside if anyone is in danger. He can also be arrogant in certain situations, often becoming too sure of his powers and his previous successes, which can lead him to compromising situations.
Powers and Abilities[]
Silver possesses the power of psychokinesis, which allows him to move objects with his mind. This ability can be used to manipulate energy as well, such as when he set out to close the Genesis Portals. Silver is highly proficient in the usage of his psychokinesis, being capable of briefly restraining beings like the Ifrit and deflecting attacks. Silver can also use his psychokinesis on himself to enable him to not only hover but also fly.
Silver wears a pair of gloves that glow when he uses his powers, and which can apparently project-whether of their own accord or serving as a channel for his power-maps that can be used to pinpoint disturbances in reality. Silver is also able to, like Sonic and Shadow, undergo a super transformation through the power of the Chaos Emeralds, becoming Super Silver.

- Silver's Secret Freedom Fighter outfit in the Archie comics is based on his racing suit from Sonic Rivals 2.
- In one of the comic's "off-panel" sections, it's revealed that Marine the Raccoon writes Silvaze (Silver x Blaze) fanfiction.
- Silver is implied to be homeless in the comics; this is evidenced by his makeshift house.
- Silver's love for gardening is somewhat ironic, as his best friend, Blaze, has fire-based superpowers. The comics poke fun at this by having Blaze accidentally burn down his garden.
