Silvia is a major character in the A Certain Magical Index franchise.
One of the 20 Saints in the world, she is a Maid of Honor who serves the British Royal Family, and is acquainted with Kaori Kanzaki and Knight Leader. She went away from England to hone her maid skills and in her travels met Ollerus.
She is voiced by Yuu Kobayashi in Japanese and Anastasia Muñoz in English.
Appearance[]
Silvia is a woman with shoulder-length blonde hair and blue eyes. She also has a pair of goggles on her head. She normally wears a maid uniform with a black jacket and blue slippers.
Personality[]
In contrast to her partner Ollerus, Silvia carries herself as a cruel, austere and domineering woman with a sadistic streak. She has a habit of whipping Ollerus whenever he annoys her. Moreover, Silvia is highly arrogant due to her status as a Saint, and has a tendency to provoke or tease people, regardless of how powerful they might be, as shown by her interactions with Leivinia Birdway or Brunhild Eiktobel. She's also rather lackadaisical when it comes to her duties as a maid of honor for the British Royal Family.
However, in spite of this, Silvia still has a good side to her, as seen when she took in one-hundred children that Ollerus rescued from human traffickers and decided to find them homes, albeit reluctantly. In addition to this, Silvia deeply cares for Ollerus and feels an urge to protect him, being heavily implied to be in love with him.
Furthermore, Silvia will become incredibly violent and vengeful whenever anyone harms Ollerus, seeking to make them suffer slowly before killing them, regardless if Ollerus forgives them. This is best shown when she viciously beats Touma Kamijou within an inch of his life in front of Othinus in order to make her suffer for weakening Ollerus with the Fairy Spell.
Biography[]
Much of Silvia's early life prior to becoming a Maid of Honor for the British Royal Family hasn't been revealed. It's stated that she was considered a troublemaker due to her destroying the equipment in Buckingham Place when she was intercepting assassins or intruders.

- Stigma: As one of the 20 Saints in the world, Silvia possesses traits similar to the Son of God, granting her a wide variety of powerful blessed and divine abilities. She's also able to channel greater magical power and mana than normal magicians.
- Immense Strength: Silvia possesses superhuman levels of strength, able to overpower and defeat various opponents at once easily. She is able to lift up a large section of an overpass into the air using her ropes. Thor mentions he could not risk even blocking one of her punches otherwise his arms would explode.
- Immense Speed: Silvia has incredible speed, able to move fast enough to break the sound barrier. She is stated to be able to keep up with fellow saints, such as Kaori Kanzaki or Brunhild Eiktoblel.
- Immense Durability: Silvia is highly durable and resilient, able to withstand colossal amounts of force or power.
- Supernatural Luck: Silvia is implied to be blessed with abnormal good luck and is naturally successful in almost anything.
- Telesma Barriers: Silvia created a fighting style using barriers in order to suppress her own power and cause less collateral damage. She rapidly spins and twirls the ropes she carries, forming the sigils of any angel she wishes to use and creating a Telesma barrier for a summoning ceremony. Each consecutive sigil she 'writes' builds up power for the barrier. She can use the Telesma barriers to block attacks, but she can also use them offensively. She was capable of using her barriers to grab air, spin it with tremendous power to turn it into a swirl of shockwaves, and send it after the target from multiple directions, each shockwave was larger than a crane’s wrecking ball that could destroy a building and likely enough to bury even an underground shelter. She can also use her 'Telesma hands' to manipulate large objects like a section of an overpass.
- Royal Maid Status: Unlike other Saints, Silvia also holds the position of a Royal Maid tasked with serving and protecting royalty. Royal Maids can be considered a type of shrine maiden because they look after the royalty, who were traditionally said to gain their authority by having a piece of divine power. This position gives her a second source of power besides her Saint status. It's unknown how much stronger this makes her compared to a normal Saint, but Carissa and the Knight Leader admitted they would have had some trouble during their coup d'etat if Silvia had been there while also putting Royal Maids above the other servants of the Royal Family. The Royal Maids are also considered capable of physically holding back Queen Elizard, one of the strongest magicians in the United Kingdom and Europe.

- Master Combatant: Silvia is an exceptional hand-to-hand combatant, being able to rival Thor in battle. She is stated to be more skilled than Kaori Kanzaki or Brunhild Eiktobel.
