Simon Belmont is one of the two main protagonists of the 2013 Nintendo 3DS Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate. Born as the son of Alucard and Sypha Belmont, he undertook a quest 30 years after the passing of his father to confront Dracula.
He is the main playable character of Act I and a major character in Act II and III.
History[]
Background (Act III)[]
Simon was the son of Trevor's and Sypha's, who lives with his mother and father within a forest. One day, his father suddenly left the house as he explained his quest to take down the count, much to his son's dismay. The boy was granted a necklace of "Mirror", one his father told him that might foretold a possible fate to the young boy. He gives his father one last hug before seeing him descending toward the dawn.
Sometime after, many demons came to the house of the Belmonts as a quest to slain all that defy them. His mother was killed while helping him escape, marking him vow the same vengeance on the dark lords like a tradition within the family.
Trial for the Truth[]
Thirty years after the death of his parents, Simon has grown to become a barbaric vampire hunter. His quest for vengeance incites him to return to where the mountain people speak of "The dragon" as he encounters the Lost Soul, who leads him to retrieve his father cross in order to fulfill his quest. Simon continues on his path and confront many foes, but nothing managed to stop him back from his trial.
Plunging into the dark tower, Simon confronts the succubus. Initially giving in to their temptations, he quickly break free from the illusions upon seeing their true nature. Defeating them, he now confront his grandfather and greatest enemy: Dracula. As the two about to battle, Alucard appears and rejoice himself much to Simon confusion. However, the two mark their stand as they confront the great dark lord.
In the highest point of the battle, Alucard held Dracula back as Simon holds the cross. Simon deals a killing blow right to the vampire's heart, temporary sealing him in his death. He is requested to make one last sacrifice by giving away the only gift he had from his late father, which he reluctantly complies with. He asked who the stranger was, as he held the man cheek to suggest that he was "the father" he knew.
Simon escapes the falling tower, standing by the mountain as he looked toward the stranger moving away, noting one last "farewell" as his quest is complete.
Legacy[]
Sometimes after the fall of Dracula, Simon married a woman named Selena and beared a son. His son will later leads to a series of generations until the last of the clan: Victor Belmont.

- This inheritation of Simon shares a mix of his original Castlevania design's with his Chronicles's palette.
- Simon is voiced by Alec Newman, who also voiced Kiryl in Dragon Quest Heroes.
