Sir Pentious is a major character in the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel.
He was a snake demon who is an inventor, the leader of the Egg Boiz, and a guest at the Hazbin Hotel, before he redeemed himself after sacrificing himself to save his friends and became an angel.
He was voiced by Will Stamper in the pilot and by Alex Brightman in the series, who also voices Fizzarolli in Helluva Boss.
Appearance[]
He is a snake demon that has pink eyes all over his body, has sharp claws and teeth, a long tail, and a cobra hood that's yellow on the inside, and black on the outside. He wears a bowtie, a yellow shirt with a grey coat that has yellow vertical stripes, Wears a top hat with one giant eye and a row of sharp teeth.
Following his sacrifice and ascension to heaven, he loses his extra eyes, and his grey coat and black parts are now a heavenly white. His top hat is now decorated with a pair of gold hearts.

Sir Pentious used to be a power-hungry demon who thought of himself as being a opposing threat, but in he is just goofy more than being a threat. He doesn't treat the Egg Bois very well, insulting them whenever they annoy him, although it's revealed that he truly cares for them, crying when Vaggie has them leave the hotel to go with Alastor, even mentioning that he can't live without them. When he sees them again, he allows them to stay in his room and they sleep together.
While Pentious initially only joined the Hazbin Hotel so he could serve as a spy for the Vees, after he got caught and got mocked by Vox for his incompetence, Pentious started to regret his actions to the point of genuinely wanting to become a better person, although he still acts like a card-carrying villain at times and is incredibly paranoid about the possibility that people are trying to manipulate him. After completing trust exercises, Sir Pentious was able to form genuine friendships with Angel, Husk and Niffty, whom he protected during an attack on the hotel.
Biography[]
Pilot[]
During the pilot he is seen causing destruction, he gets attacked by Cherri Bomb, causing them to fight each other for new territory. Angel Dust joins the fight, he and Cherri fight Sir Pentious and his minions. He is seen later at the Happy Hotel where he tries to attack Alastor, he is easily defeated leading to his ship being destroyed. last seen crawling out of the crater passing out from exhaustion.
Season 1[]
In Radio Killed the Video Star, Sir Pentious attacks the renowned Hazbin Hotel with his airship to take revenge on Alastor, who does not remember him after their past conflicts, but in his attempt to attack him, Alastor easily defeats him and throws him into the air. when I tear off a piece of his coat. Hired by Vox and as an opportunity to join the Vees, Sir Pentious tricked Charlie and the other residents into pretending to seek redemption at the hotel, playing Charlie's tricks to gain his trust, annoying Angel Dust because Charlie preferred Pentious over him.
At night, Pentious set up Vox cameras to spy on the others, but Angel discovered him and revealed his crouch to Charlie and Vaggie. Pentious asked Vox for an escape, but seeing that he was discovered in one day, he asks him to let himself be killed or commit suicide, making Pentious cry for being mistreated. Although Vaggie and Angel wanted to kill him, Charlie gives Pentious a second chance, singing "It Starts with a Sorry" and Pentious decides to join the hotel officially to redeem his sins.
In Scrambled Eggs, a week later, Pentious settles in the hotel, buying illegal weapons for his inventions because of mistrust with the other residents, which makes Charlie perform trust exercises, which are led by Vaggie, in which Pentious he had to participate and was forced to leave his Egg-Boiz to learn how to change. Pentious, Angel and Niffty were thrown into a turf fight, in which they had to flee, but in that period of time, Pentious learned to trust and befriend Angel, Niffty and Husk. Since Pentious was trustworthy, Vaggie returned the Egg-Boiz to Pentious. Pentious slept with his former subordinates and took no notice of Frank's revelation about how Carmilla Carmine killed an exterminating angel.
In Masquerade, Pentious and the other residents watch Angel's porn movie with shame. When Husk mentions that he knows his friends more than they know themselves, he reveals that Pentious was a cowardly clown who watches over everyone while they sleep, embarrassing Pentious in front of his friends.
In Dad Beat Dad, Sir Pentious and the rest of the guests see Charlie call her father, Lucifer Morningstar, to visit the hotel for help with a meeting with Heaven. The group prepares to welcome Lucifer, whom Pentious admires, and they watch the competition between Lucifer and Alastor. Pentious and Angel learn Alastor's terrifying story from Mimzy, in which Alastor murdered the old Overlords before disappearing for seven years. Pentious protects Niffty during a mob attack on Mimzy until Alastor kills them.
In Welcome to Heaven, Pentious reunites with his arch-enemy, Cherri Bomb, who was hired by Charlie to take everyone to a night of fun, surprising Pentious by the invitation and getting nervous in front of Cherri. During the party at the club, Pentious buys Cherri a few drinks to try to win her over while having fun with his friends and in an attempt to have sex with her, he claims that he will have sex with everyone at the party, causing him to be dragged to the sex room. After managing to escape the massive orgy, Pentious is informed by Angel and Husk that Cherri left with another demon, causing Pentious to curse at his failure.
In Hello Rosie!, Pentious and the rest of the gang were gathered in the living room after learning that Vaggie was a fallen angel. While the others talk about Charlie's plan to try to prevent the Extermination, Pentious affectionately caresses Keekee and then witnesses the deal between Charlie and Alastor. When Vaggie asked her friends to leave the hotel to prevent them from dying in the fight, Pentious, Angel, Husk, Niffty and the Egg Boiz, instead of fleeing, decided to stay and fight with their friends.
In The Show Must Go On, he and hotel staff fight against Exorcists to protect the Hazbin Hotel against them. When he sees they are struggling to keep up and sees Exorcists getting upper hand with Adam, he quickly goes up to Cherri Bomb, who she informs to him that she is trying to fight and asks if he is out of his mind. Pentious answers yes, and kisses her, showing her love to her and leaves to his ship in order to fire his death ray at Adam to finish him off. After he tells his Egg Boiz to fire the death ray, Adam obliterates the ship, along with Sir Pentious & Egg Boiz inside it, much to the staff's distraught and shock.
After The Extermination Day was cancelled, the hotel's staff rebuilt their hotel to a new look, along with putting a memorial of Sir Pentious and his Eggs as a honor for his great sacrifice. Unbeknownst to them, Sir Pentious has gone to Heaven, now in an angelic look. He is shocked to see where he is until he notices Emily and Sera, and says hello to them, much to Emily's excitement and Sera's shock.[1]

- His name is a play on word for serpent.
- He was originally supposed to be a one-off villain character, but ended up growing on Vivziepop and fans he was made into one of the main characters.
- It is theorized by some that Sir Pentious has a son, as he mentions the word "son" when Angel taunts him with the phrase "Oh! Harder daddy!".
- According to Vivziepop, another character helped Sir Pentious create the Egg Boiz. The fans theorize that this character was Baxter, the sinner fish demon and mad scientist. A preview of the future second season seems to confirme it, because Charlie is seen talking to Baxter and he, although Charlie doesn't realize it, reveals that he knows to Sir Pentious.
- The relationship between Pentious and Baxter does not seem to be very good since in the preview Baxter referred to him as "pompous snake".
